My passion and specialty is Alaska. Alaska is a completely different experience. When you visit Alaska, you are not just in another State, you are in another World.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and have traveled to Alaska many times. I have cruised to Alaska several times, but more than that; I have traveled by Alaska Rail up the interior of the state all the way to Fairbanks; I have stayed at Mountain Lodges; I have fished for Halibut and Salmon in Cook Straits out of Kenai; I have video taped Grizzles in Denali Nat'l Park, home of the tallest mountain in North America, Mount McKinley; I have stood at the base of Exit Glacier and actually touched the Glacier.

To top that off, my Brother lives in Kenai. He can let you in on the "secret" fishing and clamming locations on the Kenai Peninsula ( hint: Don't bother digging Razor Clams at Clam Gulch, there is a beach, only accessible by boat that has the largest Razor Clams in Alaska ). Or better yet, fly by float plane to a secluded lake where you will fish for Salmon just a few feet from fishing Grizzly Bears ( another hint: if the Grizzly wants your Salmon, let him have it ).

For most people, a trip to Alaska includes a scenic cruise up the inside passage. Cruises provide luxurious accommodations while tasting the beauty and splendor of Alaska. You can cruise past glaciers that tower over the ship or watch Humpback Whales breach from the comfort of your balcony cabin.

I get really excited about travel. I love to travel myself and I love planning trips. When I am planning a trip for myself, I go over every detail, I put myself in the every location, I research and research. Now don't laugh, but this goes clear back to my 7th grade teacher who gave us the assignment of planning a trip to a foreign country. We had to put together a scrapbook showing every detail of our trip; the costs, the itinerary, the sites we visited... even a travel diary of each day.

Today, as a travel agent, I get to do this over and over again for my clients. I mentally walk through your vacation. What can we add to make it better? What possible problems might we encounter and how can we get rid of them even before you begin your trip? What small but really special feature can we add to make this a trip you will never forget?

I have been told that I am really good at listening. You may say you want to go to Alaska. There are hundreds of different ways to see and feel Alaska. I will listen to you until I HEAR what you really want from your Alaska Adventure. Then we can begin to discuss the details, dates, costs etc.

I am a homebased agent. That means I work for myself. I don't have anyone pushing me with sales numbers or quotas. I do this job because I love it. I work with a group of professional agents - together, we are American Dream Cruises. I am a member of NACTA and CLIA. I am on a first name basis with the local representatives of each cruise, tour and travel company I work with. My years of experience and my close relationships in the travel industries will bring comfort to you before and during your trip.
