I have been a travel consultant for over 25 years.
Many of the trips I have planned have been for groups of 20 or more , although I also do many family trips.
In Alaska, I like to arrange journeys on small boats rather than large cruise ships--because the clients see much more of nature and small towns and islands along the way. But cruising is not enough when you want to get the feel of the real Alaska. Land trips offer even more variety and excitement. For example, Denali Park, at the foot of the mountain also called Mt. McKinley, has wild life safaris. There are trips to see bear in the Kenai Penninsula, and whale watching journeys from Juneau. By the way, Juneau is a land-locked state capital, surrounded by sea and mountains. You can only get there by air or sea! From this picturesque town you can visit a glacier at ground level and take a gondola ride up to the top of a mountain for hiking to see great scenery and dine in fine restaurants. It's worth a long visit.
Switzerland has been a favorite of mine. There are many forms of transportation that add to the fun--such as trains, gondolas and cog railroads up and down the mountainsides, boats on picturesque lakes and lovely drives. The cities are charming but the mountains and valleys are magnificent.
I have a love affair with Israel and visit there every 2 or 3 years. I have led groups of 20 to 40 people on 2 week tours of the country--and always try to end the visit in Jerusalem which is the highlight of any tour. To see Jerusalem from one of its hills at sunset, when the buildings look as if they are built from gold, is inspiring.
There is so much to see and do in Israel, that 10 days to 2 weeks aren't enough. But most tours last that long. That's why I also offer tours for second and third timers--to go on an archeological dig, visit a Bedouin village with camel rides (or even stay overnight in a tent), go bike riding around the Sea of Galilee, stay at a Kibbutz or a Spa for a few nights or climb up a waterfall near the Dead Sea.
