About Me:
Leading expert on barge cruises in France (plus barges in Scotland, England, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Italy) -- its our passion and barges are our entire business.
To give you some background about us... We started Special Places Travel in 1997 to concentrate on helping people make good choices in barge cruises on the picturesque canals of France. We go to France and other cruise locations in Europe two to three times a year to be certain that we are in a good position to recommend barges and barge cruise itineraries based on our own direct experience. We meet the crews, and take time to become familiar with each cabin's layout. We tour with care the cruise routes that the barges take. We make this kind of investment to be sure that we will be able to advise clients on the best match between their personal preferences and what is available in France and the rest of Europe. We believe barging is an exceptional way to travel and our clients often tell us it was the experience of a lifetime.
