We have not taken trip yet but initial experience so far has been excellent: Jeni lives in SE France, clearly takes pride in her thoroughness, understands importance of staying within budget provided, uses expertise to tailor high value to cost experiences/excursions, and as a hard working mom totally gets the importance of a “family” vacation that is enriching and exciting for all. We will follow up with feedback post trip to France.

Jeni lives in SE France, and was able to find accommodations and activities we likely never would have found ourselves. We loved our trip, the security of knowing she was no more than a couple of hours away if something went horribly wrong, and the flexibility to change our plans as needed. We absolutely loved our trip and would recommend Jeni to anyone considering a trip to SE France. (And we recommend a trip to SE France, emphatically!)

About Me:
Jeni Matthews created Red Balloon Travel and Consulting (www.red-balloon-travel.com) with the goal in mind to provide spectacularly unique French holidays. After graduating from Northwestern University in Communications and International Studies, she headed straight to France, and has been living in the little known Rhone-Alpes region ever since. She knows the region region inside and out, all the while maintaining a foreign perspective. Jeni uses her first-hand knowledge and close business relationships to provide her clients with a very intimate and unforgettable experience.

- truffle journey, incorporating truffle hunting, cooking classes, market visits, and "haute cuisine" restaurants,
- wine trip concentrating on the Rhone Valley wines, from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, to Hermitage,
