About Me:
Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Marat was raised in New York City, where he attended high school and college. Marat’s travel and tourism career began in 1996, when he joined America’s largest privately owned travel company, Liberty Travel. After a short period of time as a sales representative, Marat was tabbed to manage the company’s key Wall Street location in New York City. Under his tutelage, many of Marat’s agents became President Club members for the first time, recognition for their sales excellence, and an indication to the company of Marat’s success as a mentor to his staff. After running three Lower Manhattan locations, Marat made the move to marketing and sales training for the travel giant in 2005, holding the title of Executive Trainer, for which he was responsible for creating, implementing and teaching sales and customer service courses for the company's 1200 agents, as well as all new hires. Marat also created and facilitated leadership training workshops for Liberty Travel and GoGo Worldwide vacations management teams.
In addition to his duties as a sales trainer, Marat managed GoGo Worldwide Vacations Group Department, which handled bookings for thousands of agencies across the United States. Marat conceived and put into action systems for processing, pricing, booking and tracking sales, many of which are still in place today. His hand selected sales team was one of the company’s top producing departments, one of whom was GoGo's #1 overall sales agent for 2010.
