My father and I had a wonderful time in Kenya and Tanzania. Our safaris were excellent, and the people there are extremely nice and hospitable. Zighe, thank you for arranging such an awesome trip for us. Here are a few highlights while on our safari: Day 2: Arrive in Amboselli national park. Amazing day. Upon arrival we began our 1st game drive. Elephants surrounded us and walked right by us - crazy! Saw many beautiful animals (i.e. giraffes, gazelles, wildebeests, giant ostriches, and more...). We had two game drives that day. Food at tent lodge was pretty good too. Day 3: Morning and evening game drives lots of great animals. Had lunch at an observatory on a high hill where we could see all of Amboselli national park. Our tent/lodge accommodations were pretty nice. Enjoyed a nice sun downer w/a young British couple that were spending their honeymoon in Kenya. Day 4 & 5: Fly to Samburu. Another but very different game drive/national park. We saw 3 lions sleeping, a mama Cheetah and her 3 baby cubs - beautiful, also some crocks, and baboons. The Cheetahs had a kill that morning and we saw the Gazelle carcass -- just another reminder of what life is like in the wilderness. We also saw a papa, mama and baby African buffalos. Our driver/guide, Nicolas, was awesome. So friendly, personable and knowledgeable of the land and its surroundings - we learned a lot from him. He also brought us to visit a Samburu tribe. Great experience. We danced with the tribe and leaned a lot about how they live and how their village is governed. The food at the Ashnill lodge was really good. Tent accommodations were nicer than the ones in Amboselli. It began to rain while on our 2nd day but only for short periods and it was actually a nice change. Day 6: Arrive in the Massi Mara. WoW! Great game drives here. Short 10 min drive from airport to camp. On the way we saw tons of lions w/in just a few feet of us. Male, female & cubs. Arrived to the tent/lodge and checked in. Ate a very nice lunch & then went for a game drive where we saw lions again. Also there were hundreds of Wildebeest & zebra and this time the lions began to hunt, just like on the Discovery channel. It was crazy. They stalked their prey and then attacked but was unlucky. We also saw a Leopard sleeping - quite beautiful. It then began to rain and we returned back after 2.5hrs of game drive. Had an excellent dinner and enjoyed some local entertainment. Our dinner consisted of Mongolian bbq, veggi-stuffed bell pepper,rice saffron and cheese & crackers; oh and a chocolate cream puff for dinner. Day 7 & 8: Great game drives. Saw more lions and their recent kills. Also saw another leopard but this time it was laying on a rock next to a tree high above the ground. We got some great pictures of it. We also saw lots of hippos and crocodiles. Day 9 - 11: Arrived in Arusha. The Coffee lodge was a nice change of accommodations. Beautiful place with our best dinner yet. Visited Shanga, a really neat shop with disabled men and women work on creating hand made art work from glass bowls and vases to beaded jewelry all for sale. Beautiful experience, beautiful people and beautiful works of art. Drove to the Plantation Lodge - Very impressive lodge and accommodations. Beautiful grounds. Enjoyed a nature walk while on the grounds. Visited Ngorongoro Crater. Saw a lion in a tree and a rare several cat. We finished our safari with another gormet dinner and then returned to the U.S. with mixed emotions. Africa will always hold a special place in our heart. What I've described here does not even come close to the experience that we are had. Its was an incredible journey. My father and I learned some Swahili while there. The people were very excited to teach us new words and phrases everyday. Thank you again Zighe, for arranging such a fantastic safari trip for us. Baadaye, Chris & Ray

She helped us do a fabulous 6 week itinerary. She listened to what we wanted and planned it with precision and accuracy. We had the trip of a lifetime because of her dedication, knowledge, experience and enthusiasm. She worked very hard to keep the price affordable but yet give us a wonderful experience. I didn't end up making my travel arrangements with Zighe (found a better deal in my homebase) but with my short experience dealing with her, I would definitely consider her on planning my next trip.

Zighe is extremely knowledgable about eastern Africa. She provides a number of suggestions regarding travel and accomodations and is available to consult to develop the most preferred itinerary. Although we are still planning the trip, I would highly recommend her to anyone planning a trip to Africa.
