What is Tripology.com?

Tripology.com is a new type of travel website. It brings valuable customers directly to you. Every day, millions of travelers are looking for help with booking domestic or international flights or finding the perfect cruise. A significant majority of travelers describe the process of finding a travel agent as a "hassle". The difficult part for these travelers is finding agents who specialize in the kind of travel they are interested in. For example, how does a consumer who wants to book a safari find a trustworthy and professional travel agent to help them book their trip?

That's where we come in. Bringing better business to you. It's as simple as Tripology.

How does Tripology work?

Here's how Tripology.com works for travel professionals like you. You log onto Tripology.com and create a customized lead profile specifying the exact types of trips that you specialize in booking. Meanwhile, consumers visit Tripology.com to specify their itineraries and other travel needs, such as tours, activities and lodging. If there is a match between what a consumer specifies and your preferences, you will receive an email detailing the requested trip. For example, if you book trips to China, and a consumer specifies a multi-city tour of China for six people, you would receive a notification email from Tripology.com.

Each email from Tripology.com has a detailed itinerary and price to view the travelers contact information. If you are interested in working with this client, click the "accept" link. The first three agents who "accept" a lead will be able to view the client's contact information. The clients will be waiting to hear from you. At that point, you deal directly with the client and book the trip just as you normally would.

Does Tripology cost me anything?

Tripology is the most cost-effective means for travel professionals to get client leads and develop profitable accounts. Tripology is free to register and we charge no membership fees. When a consumer request comes in, we price that lead according to the size/complexity of the trip (the average lead is priced between one and ten US Dollars). If the request matches your lead profile, you will receive an email with all of the trip details and the price. If you are interested, click the "accept" button and if you are one of the first three agents that does so, you will pay Tripology the price that was quoted and view the consumer's contact information, who will be waiting to hear from you.

After accepting the lead and working with the consumer, you book directly with your new client. Tripology takes no commission or percentage of the sale. The key benefit of using Tripology is that you will know all of the information for the trip request and the cost before ever accepting a lead — no surprises and no minimum purchases. And if you never accept a lead, you will never pay Tripology a penny. We designed Tripology to be easy and risk free for agents to join and use whenever they need more business.

Why should I use Tripology.com?

Travel is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and travel professionals play a critical role in the process. Yet in numerous surveys consumers consistently indicate the difficulty of finding travel agents that can help them arrange their trips. Despite this, the majority of agents get their business through personal referrals, local advertising or infrequent publicity in major travel magazines. That means a large potential customer base remains untapped.

With Tripology.com, all you get is great new business and only the kind of new business that you want. No new technology to learn, no commitments to clubs or lead services, just the best customers brought right to you. Use Tripology.com to fill in during the slow season or as a powerful tool to expand your regular client base. Most important of all, unlike blanket lead lists distributed to thousands of people resulting in worthless leads, customers who go to Tripology.com will be expecting your call and will never be put in touch with more than three agents at once.

Tripology.com isn't a travel agency, is it?

Tripology.com is not a travel agency. Our only job is to introduce the most profitable clients to the best agents that can help them book their trips. We do not book anything directly, and we do not insert ourselves into your booking process. Once an introduction is made, you book with your new client directly.

Do I have to change the way I work with clients?

No. Tripology.com brings new clients to you that you work with just as you work with any other client. Once we make the introduction, we are out of the process, and you book as you normally would. Once you book a trip for the customer, the customer relationship is yours and hopefully becomes a long term source of profitable business.

How will Tripology get qualified leads?

We will be optimizing our site for search so we can find consumers seeking custom vacation planning help -- someone who wants to plan a trip they can't get done themselves.

A consumer who comes to Tripology.com will specify their budget (Economy, Moderate, Luxury) and preferences (i.e. Starwood hotels only) as well as free-form input (i.e. "I want to be close to the beach.") for each portion of the trip they need help with.

After a consumer submits their trip request they will receive a trip confirmation email -- they must click on a verification link in this email before we will send out their request to matching agents. The email will say "In order for Tripology to send your trip request below to travel agents that meet your trip criteria, please confirm below that you wish to be contacted by up to three (3) travel professionals who can help plan this trip." This will filter out those consumers who may not be serious.

The traveler also has to go through an online interview process where they tell us which portion(s) -- Flights, Cruises, Hotels, Rental Cars, Activities and Tours -- and they must register an account with us in order to submit a trip request. So we will be sending out lead alerts (matched with appropriate agents) for consumers who have committed time, thought and information to us.

How many agents have access to the same lead?

Three. We know your time is valuable and that putting together a trip takes work. Limiting leads to three agents ensures that both agents and consumers receive the maximum value from Tripology.com. Participating agents all have a very good chance of generating business from a lead, while consumers still have a choice of agents from which to choose.

How can I be sure I am introduced to only the types of clients I want to work with and only the types of trips I want to work on?

When you start using Tripology.com for the first time, you create a customized lead profile where you can specify exactly the types of itineraries you are looking for (flights, cruises, tours, etc.), the regions you specialize in (Asia, Africa, etc.), and the type of customer you prefer to work with (budget, moderate, luxury). We will only send you leads from exactly the type of customer you specify.

Most importantly, you only pay for the leads you want when you want them. No matter how many qualified leads we send you, you only pay for the leads you specifically accept.

How does Tripology.com make money?

Tripology.com makes money by charging agents for introductions to highly qualified travelers looking for travel agents to plan a trip or cruise. The price of the lead is determined by value of the booking. Only the three agents that accept a given lead pay us for the introduction. That's it -- no processing fees, no membership fees, no commitment. Use us when you need more business. Bringing better business to you is as easy as Tripology.
