Detailed Trip Description

Tour the exotic, historic, and cultural destinations of India and Nepal. Visiting Delhi,and Agra for the magnificent forts and palaces of the Mughals and the Rajputs. Gwalior, Orchha, and Khajuraho providing the most unexploited ruins of heritage sites and exotic temples. Get rid of all your sins with a dip in river Ganges at Varanasi, spiritually enriched as per Hinduism. Moving on to Kathmandu - the capital city of the Kingdom of Nepal, still ruled by the Kings. Visit the Swyambhunath Stupa and the temples at Patan Durbar in Kathmandu. An excursion to Bhadgoan and Boudhnath to view the Himalayas. A true tourist trail.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - Delhi

 
Arrive Delhi.

Meet and greet on arrival at the airport by a representative and transfer by air-conditioned deluxe car to hotel. Overnight at hotel.


Day 2 - Delhi

 
Historical and Educational Tours

After breakfast, guided tour of historic city of old Delhi to include magnificent Red Fort, the Jama Masjid Asia’s largest mosque, Rajghat - the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi - the "Father of the Nation".

Historical and Educational Tours

Afternoon, tour of New Delhi, including Humanyun's Tomb, Birla Mandir, Lotus Temple (Bahai mandir), Qutab Minar, India Gate, President's House, and a drive through Connaught Place.

Sightseeing

Evening, option of visiting Son-et-Lumerie (Sound and Light show) at Red Fort.

Day 3 - Jaipur

 
Delhi - Jaipur (265 kms / 05 hrs).
Private Car Service

Breakfast at hotel followed by leisurely drive to Jaipur. Check in hotel on arrival.

Sightseeing

Afternoon half day guided sightseeing of Jaipur - known as 'the pink city’. Visit the City Palace, Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) etc.

Day 4 - Jaipur

 
Sightseeing

After breakfast, guided excursion to Amber (Amer) Fort - the ancient capital of the state until 1728. Ascend the fort on a gaily-decorated elephant back. Visit the palace buildings.

Sightseeing

Afternoon, sightseeing of the Jaipur City.

Shopping

Evening free for shopping around the bazaars where one can choose from precious gems to variety of handicrafts.

Day 5 - Agra

 
Jaipur - Agra (250 kms / 05 hrs).
Sightseeing

After breakfast, drive to Agra, the city of world famous 'Taj Mahal' - 7th Wonder of the world. Enroute halt in the vicinity of Agra city to visit Fatehpur Sikri, the erstwhile capital of the Mughal Empire built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water.

On arrival to Agra, check-in to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.


Day 6 - Gwalior

 
Agra - Gwalior (120 kms / 03 hrs).
Sightseeing

Enjoy the beauty of Taj Mahal at dawn.

Food and Dining

Return to hotel for breakfast.

Sightseeing

Then half day guided sightseeing tour of Agra City, visit Agra Fort & Itmad-ud-daulah.

Private Car Service

Later drive to Gwalior.

Visit to the Sound and light show at Gwalior Fort.

Day 7 - Gwalior

 
Gwalior - Orcha (120 kms / 03 hrs).
Sightseeing

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of Gwalior city visiting the Gwalior Fort and other attractions.

Afternoon proceed to Orchha. Check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.


Day 8 - Khajuraho

 
Orcha - Khajuraho ( 178 kms / 04 hrs ).
Sightseeing

After breakfast, guided sightseeing of Orcha and after that leisurely drive to Khajuraho and a visit to the Jhansi.

Sightseeing

Check-in hotel and later proceed for a guided tour of Chandela dynasty temples famous for their spectacular sculptures and erotic carvings.

Check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.


Day 9 - Varanasi

 
Khajuraho - Varanasi.
Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit the Southern group of Khajuraho temples.

Commercial Flight

Afternoon transfer to airport to board flight for Varanasi.

On arrival assistance at the airport and transfer to hotel.

Evening Optional
Sightseeing

Visit to the ghats (banks) of river Ganges (Ganga).

Overnight at hotel.


Day 10 - Varanasi

 
Sightseeing

Early morning, boat ride on river Ganges followed by city tour including Benaras Hindu University, the ancient centre of Hindu education. Excursion to Sarnath.

Relaxation

Eveninng free for own activities.

Day 11 - Kathmandu

 
Varanasi - Kathmandu.
Commercial Flight

After breakfast, transfer to Varanasi airport to board flight for Kathmandu.

On arrival assistance at airport and transfer to hotel.

Evening free for leisure activities.

Day 12 - Kathmandu

 
Sightseeing

In the early morning we vill view Mt. Everest from a plane. Return to hotel for breakfast, half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu city visiting Swyambhunath temple, Pashupatinath. Evening at leisure.

Day 13 - Kathmandu

 
Sightseeing

After breakfast sightseeing tour of Bhadgaon and Bodhanath.

Shopping

Evening free for shopping.

Day 14 - Delhi

 
Kathmandu - Delhi.
Commercial Flight

After breakfast day at discreation till departure transfer to airport to connect flight for Delhi.

On arrival, transfer to hotel to freshen up and later proceed to airport to board flight back home.
