Detailed Trip Description
Join us on this grand tour to apperceive the royal state of Rajasthan. This tour overlaps the two most interesting facets of this country: the essence of a land whose history is filled with legends of heroism and romance, and the opportunity to experience the meaning of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’, the Guest is our God by staying in luxury at the most prestigious properties in India. This tour moves from the capital city of Delhi to Samode, a small rural town filled with local havelis. Then, we will visit Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, which exhibits a blend of modernism along with age-old traditions. We then travel to Osian, the camel camp in the desert where one visits the local potters and weavers on camelbacks. The next two stops are Jodhpur and Udaipur, famous for their forts and palaces. The tour then covers Chittorgarh, Kota, and Bundi all of them famous for their heritage and culture. We then visit Ranthambore, famous for its tiger population. We end at Agra, city of the Taj Mahal, where one can feel the majestic aura of this beautiful monument.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Delhi
Arrive Delhi.
Traditional welcome on arrival at Delhi international airport and transfer to the
hotel. Stay at The Imperial hotel.
Day 2 - Delhi
Historical and Educational Tours
After breakfast, there is a guided tour of the historic city of Delhi; it is where one can experience the influence of the many rulers who ruled this region, a city built and destroyed and re-built over seven times. The guided tour takes to the monuments that depict the different eras. The tour includes the magnificent Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Asia's largest mosque, and Rajghat - the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi - the "Father of the Nation."

Afternoon tour of New Delhi to include Humanyun Tomb, Birla Mandir, Bahai Temple, Qutab Minar, India Gate, President'' House and drive through Connaught Place.

Evening, see Son-et-Lumerie at Red Fort.

Day 3 - Delhi
Delhi – Samode (270 kms/ 5 hrs).

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Samode.

Day 4 - Jaipur
Samode – Jaipur (45 kms / 1 hr).

Breakfast. Drive onto Jaipur - the Pink City of Rajasthan.

Upon arrival in Jaipur, transfer to the Rambagh Palace to freshen up. Later, there is a guided half-day city tour of Jaipur covering Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), City Palace, and Jantar Mantar (Royal Observatory).

Day 5 - Jaipur
Sightseeing
Enjoy a royal breakfast at the hotel. Then there is a guided excursion to the majestic Amber Fort - the erstwhile capital of the Kachwahas Rajputs before they moved to their newly built capital in Jaipur. This is the only fort where one can still arrive by elephant like a Maharaja used to.

Evening at leisure for enjoying the real charm of this royal city to stroll in the local bazaars to see some handicrafts and artisans.

Day 6 - Jaipur
Jaipur – Osian (300 kms / 7 hrs).
Camping
Leave early morning for Osian. Stop over for breakfast. Arrive Osian by afternoon. Check into Reggie’s Camel Camp to freshen up.

Late afternoon visit the nearby temples.

In the evening relax at the camp’s viewing folk entertainment followed by a sit down dinner.

After dinner, the guests can either retire to their tents or sit around the fire.

Day 7 - Jodhpur
Osian – Jodhpur (65 kms / 1.5 hrs).
Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a camel safari to nearby oasis village Khetasar (2.30 hrs ride). One also visits the local potter, weavers, Bishnois huts along the Safari route.
Camping
On reaching Khetasar the guests are brought back to camp in 4 wheel drive Jeeps. Lunch at the village or back at the camp.
Sightseeing
After lunch, drive to Jodhpur, the capital of the Marwar State.

Day 8 - Jodhpur
Sightseeing
After breakfast, a full day guided sightseeing tour of the city, which includes: Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and Mandore Garden.

Evening free to explore the tiny shops in the narrow lanes of the city.

Day 9 - Udaipur
Jodhpur – Udaipur (260kms / 5 hrs).
Sightseeing
After breakfast, drive to Udaipur. Enroute stopover at Ranakpur, to visit the famous Jain temples. The City of Dawn, surrounded by the ancient Aravali Mountains and set on the edge of three lakes, is a brilliant kaleidoscope of narrow lanes flanked by bright stalls, gardens, lakes, palaces and temples.

Enjoy this day on the banks of the Lake Pichola or at the numerous shops that dot the narrow windings streets of Udaipur.

Day 10 - Udaipur
Sightseeing
After breakfast, full day guided sightseeing of the city including City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon-ki-Bari, and an excursion to Eklingi, known for its Jain temples.

Day 11 - Udaipur
Udaipur – Chittorgarh (120 kms / 6 hrs).
Sightseeing
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for Chittorgarh, the well-established citadel and the capital of Mewar rulers. On arrival check into the hotel to freshen up.

Then proceed on a guided tour of the Chittorgarh Fort, which stands 180 mtrs high with each stone narrating its own story.

Day 12 - Kota
Chittorgarh – Kota (250 kms / 5 hrs).

Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for Kota. On arrival check into the hotel to freshen up.

Then take a guided tour of Kota, to visit the City Fort Palace, Museum and Jagmandir Palace.

Day 13 - Kota
Kota – Bundi – Ranthambore (210 kms).

Breakfast. Proceed to Bundi, for a half-day guided tour of the Taragarh Fort, Raniji-ki-Baoli, (Queen's step well) and Nagar Sagar Kund. In the afternoon drive to Ranthambore.

Evening free at the national park.

Day 14 - Rajasthan
Safari
After breakfast take a jeep safari into the jungle.

Ranthambore – Agra (275 kms / 6 hrs).
Sightseeing
Breakfast at hotel. Then proceed to Agra via Fatepur Sikri; a World Heritage Site. Assisted by a guide, visit this world famous complex of monuments and temples built in a uniform architectural style. Drive onto Agra.

On arrival, check into Amarvilas hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 16 - Delhi
Historical and Educational Tours
After breakfast, visit the Taj Mahal, a monument built by Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, and the Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar in red sandstone, exhibiting a mixture of the Islamic and Hindu styles of architecture.

Afternoon drive to Delhi. On arrival, check the Imperial hotel to freshen up.
Depending on flight schedule transfer to international airport for connecting flight to onward destination.
