Detailed Trip Description
This is the tour of three different parts of Jammu and Kashmir. The landscape is completely different from each other. You will travel west to east staring at Srinagar, famous for its Dal Lake and shikara rides. Afterwards, we will visit Gulmarg to view its beautiful scenery and then Sonmarg, the Meadow of Gold and Gateway to the Ladakh. Once in the Ladakh region, you will drive through Drass andKargil on your way to Leh, the cold and dry desert of India. You also drive to the Khardongla Pass (highest motorable pass in the world) for a great view of the mountains.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Delhi
Arrive Delhi.
Welcome on arrival at Delhi international airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 2 - Delhi
Sightseeing
After breakfast, guided tour of historic city of Delhi. The tour includes the magnificent Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Asia's largest mosque, Humanyun Tomb, Birla Mandir, Qutab Minar, drive through India Gate, President’s House and Connaught Place.

Evening, see Son-et-Lumerie at Red Fort.

Day 3 - Srinagar
Delhi – Srinagar.
Commercial Flight
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the domestic airport to catch a flight to Srinagar.

On arrival at Srinagar, you will meet our representative and you will be transferred to the houseboat.
Sightseeing
Afternoon free for personal activities. In the evening you will enjoy a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake to view the sunset. Overnight at the houseboat.
Day 4 - Srinagar
Sightseeing
Half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). Return to houseboat for hot lunch.

In the afternoon Shikara ride on the Dal Lake. You will get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake. Overnight at houseboat.
Day 5 - Srinagar
Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar (112 kms).

Full day tour of Gulmarg, one of the most beautiful summer resorts in the valley. It is also popular for its golf course (in summer) and skiing during the winter season.

Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. You may enjoy a Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. Overnight at the houseboat.
Day 6 - Srinagar
Srinagar – Sonmarg - Kargil (205 kms).
Sightseeing
You will leave in the morning and drive to Kargil through the panoramic village to reach Sonmarg (2740 meters). After Sonmarg, the road is mostly rough and wet on the way to the Zojila pass, also known as the Gateway of Ladakh. You will continue to drive towards Drass (the second coldest inhabited place in the world) where we will stop for tea and passport check. Another 2.5 hours drive will take us to Kargil (2710 meters), which is a popular tourist destination after the opening of Ladakh in 1974.

Day 7 - Leh
Kargil – Leh (235 kms).
Sightseeing
Leave in the morning for a full day drive to Leh. Today we will ascend three passes. First, the Buddhist village of Mulbek. We will cross the highest pass (Fotula 4166 meters) on Srinagar Leh route. By lunchtime, we will be at Lamayuru, the oldest monastery. We will continue to drive to the next village, Nimu, and view the Zanskar River following into Indus. Finally we will reach Leh.

Day 8 - Leh
Sightseeing
Morning free for personal activities and at leisure. Afternoon half day tour of Phyang, Spituk and Shanker Gompa.

Day 9 - Leh
Leh–Khardongla Pass–Leh (85 kms).
Sightseeing
Day excursion to Khardongla pass which is the highest motorable pass in the world 5600 mtrs and has been recorded in the Gunnies Book of World Records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow capped mountains.
Hotel
In the late afternoon return back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 - Delhi
Leh – Delhi.
Commercial Flight
Transfer in time to the airport to connect flight to Delhi.
On arrival to Delhi, transfer to the hotel to freshen up and proceed to the international airport for your connecting flight to your destination.
