Detailed Trip Description

Mt. Rinjani is a strata volcano, situated on the island of Lombok. It stands with 3726 meters high above sea level, and is the third highest active volcano in Indonesia, after Mt. Kerinci in Sumatra (3806 meters a.s.l). You can trek to the top of Mt. Rinjani from two routes. Sembalun Lawang is the goes to the top of the mountain and then passes by the lake of Segara Anak, and the Senaru is the route that goes by the lake of Segara Anak before reaching the top of the mountain.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - Indonesia

 
Arrive in Lombok.
Private Car Service

Upon arrival meet by Classic tours guide, transfer to hotel, free at own leisure.


Day 2 - Indonesia

 
Hotel - Senaru (L - D).
Food and Dining

Early breakfast at hotel.

Private Car Service

Leave hotel at 6 am to Senaru village (600 m.a.s.l), the starting point of trekking. It takes 2-5 hour by car.

Hiking

We start trekking at 9 am to BASE CAMP III (2.100 M. a.s.l). It takes Six-hour walk to the Base Camp III.

Food and Dining

Lunch and Dinner at Base Camp III. The temperature is around 7 -8 Celsius.

Camping

Overnight on the tent.


Day 3 - Indonesia

 
Base Camp III - Segara Anak Lake (B - L - D).
Hiking

After an early breakfast, we leave Camp III at 6 am to the RIM (3000 M. a. s. l). We arrive in the RIM at 8 am. Then we will have a magnificent view of the Rinjani peak, the lake, the new volcano, deep down valley over sparkling white sand beach, view of Gili Air, Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan and the memorable view of the entire island of Lombok. After spending 1 hour in the RIM, we start walking down to the lake. It take 2 hours to reach the lake.

Sightseeing

Arrive in the lake. Rest day is free at leisure. Enjoying the beauty of the lake, bathing on the hot spring water and fishing are the main activities. Overnight near the lake.


Day 4 - Indonesia

 
Segara Anak - Trekking To The Top (B - L D).
Hiking

Breakfast in the lake. Leave the lake at 6 am to climb up to the RIM 2. It takes 7 hours walk up to the RIM 2.

Food and Dining

Arrive in the RIM 2 lunch and free time at own leisure. Overnight at RIM 2.

Hiking

After an early morning wake up call at 3 am, we start hike up to the Top of the mount Rinjani. (3726 m. a. s. l ).

Sightseeing

Enjoy and watch the spectacular view of the lake, the sun rise and the nice view of the island stretching far below. Then back to the RIM 2 for a late Breakfast.


Day 5 - Indonesia

 
Rim 2 - Sembalun Lawang - Hotel (B - L - D).
Hiking

After Breakfast,leave RIM 2 for walk down Sembalun Lawang. It takes 7 hours to reach the village.

Private Car Service

Arrive at Sembalun Lawang. Transfer to your hotel. Lunch served on the way.


Day 6 - Indonesia

 
Hotel - Transfer Out (B).
Private Car Service

Breakfast at Hotel, free time at own leisure until pick up time for transfer to the next destination
