During this 8 Days Komodo Flores Adventure Tour, you will enjoy sightseeing and many activities in Denpasar, Labuan Bajo, Komodo, Kelimutu, Ende, Bajawa, Ruteng, Moni, Riung and Maumere.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - Labuan Bajo

 
Denpasar - Labuan Bajo - Komodo.
Private Car Service

Upon arrival transfer to the harbor.

Sailing

Board on the wooden boat to cross to Komodo island.

Food and Dining

Lunch will be provided on board.

Bed & Breakfast

Overnight on board in Komodo area or at Ranger's house.


Day 2 - Ruteng

 
Komodo - Labuan Bajo - Ruteng.
Adventure

Early breakfast on board, start your trekking, walking through the typical dry forest to explore the Komodo dragon, the island itself, the wild animals and the various species of tropical birds. Sometime you can see wild buffalo, deer and boar. Keep your eyes looking up and you will find the young Komodo dragon up on the trees. A local ranger will lead you to enter this nature preservation.

Sailing

Return to boat and sail back to Labuan Bajo.

Food and Dining

Lunch will be provided on board.

Sightseeing

Upon arrival in Labuan Bajo drive directly to Ruteng. En route visit Cara where one can witness Lingko – the spider web shaped rice fields.

Hotel

Dinner and overnight at hotel.


Day 3 - Bajawa

 
Ruteng - Bajawa.
Sightseeing

Ruteng is a small town in the backbone of Flores and neighbor to the Ruteng Nature Conservation Park - the home of Ngkiong - the endemic singing birds. It is worth it to visit the Park early in the morning to attend the nature’s concert of singing birds (if no rain and strong wind). There is also a newly popped up volcano in the park. Take your chance to have a closer look into it.

Sightseeing

Afterwards drive to Bajawa with its beautiful panoramic views. This is your chance for photo stops. The first stop will be at Ranamese –a crater lake with cloud forest.

Lunch in Bajawa.

Sightseeing

Afternoon visit Wogo one of the big traditional village of Ngadha ethnic.

Hotel

Overnight at Wisma Kembang or similar.


Day 4 - Bajawa

 
Bajawa - Riung.
Sightseeing

After breakfast, start your excursion to Bena passing through huge and gigantic bamboo plantation, picturesque Inerie volcano and take short walks in the vicinity. Arrive in Bena, wher eyou will see traditional houses and megalithic tombs, you will learn the meaning of Ngadhu and Bhaga which symbolizing male and female of ancestral spirit.

Food and Dining

Back to Bajawa, lunch.

Sightseeing

Drive to Soa en route stop in Naru a village with huge megalithic monuments, arrive in Soa visit Mengeruda a hot water spring to dip in for relaxation. Proceed then to Riung.

Dinner and overnight at Pondok SVD.


Day 5 - Indonesia

 
Riung.
Sightseeing

There is a Nature Conservation Park in Riung mainly put in place to protect the under water ecosystem. Take some time to explore the small islets off shore - that are known for the beautiful coral garden with white sand beaches. There is also an island with unspoiled mangrove forests inhabited by thousands of huge fruit eating bats. Take your whole day program to explore and enjoy the Park.

Picnic lunch.

Hotel

Dinner and overnight at Pondok SVD.


Day 6 - Ende

 
Riung - Ende - Moni.
Beach

Morning drive to Ende, taking some photo stops en route. It is also worth it to stop at Penggajawa Beach where locals collect blue gravel and stones for interinsuler trading. Some of these stone will decorate hotel & resorts throughout the country.

Sightseeing

Upon arrival in Ende visit the Exile House of Mr Sukarno – the world famous Indonesian Founding Father.

Food and Dining

Lunch in Ende.

Sightseeing

Afternoon drive towards Nuabosi until you reach the vantage point where you will enjoy an aerial view of Ende town, fortified with volcanoes and beautifully located in south coast of Flores. Proceed then to Wolotopo, a typical coastal settlement of Lio ethnic with animistic shrine and Ikat weaving.

Late afternoon drive to Moni with beautiful panoramic views.

Hotel

Dinner and overnight in Moni.


Day 7 - Maumere

 
Moni - Kelimutu - Maumere.
Sightseeing

Early morning drive up to the three colored lake of Kelimutu, one of the Indonesia's most mysterious and dramatic sights. The three lakes are set in deep craters at a height of 1,600m.

Sightseeing

Down to Moni for breakfast, then continue to Maumere with stop at Lio hill tribes of Jopu and Ranggase that offers fine Ikat weaving, then the village of Wolowaru.

Lunch is provided.

Hotel

Dinner and accommodation at Sea World Club.


Day 8 - Maumere

 
Maumere - Next Destination.
Food and Dining

Breakfast at hotel.

Transfer to the airport. Depart for Bali or your next destination.
