Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Waingapu
Arrival Waingapu.
Sightseeing
Upon arrival meeting services and then visit the nearby villages, such as Kawangu and Prailiu to learn more about the process of making the well-known Sumba Ikat.
Day 2 - Indonesia
East Sumba Ikat Excursion.
Sightseeing
Your program today is dedicated to the Sumba Ikat Weaving centers. Most of the villages are home of the local Rajas - the highest class in the society who owns and inherit the Ikat craftsmanship. Each Noble family has their own design and secret of Ikat making.
Arts, Crafts and Antiques
There are three well-known Ikat Centers on the island, they are: Pau, Rende and Kaliuda. The designs from those villages are the ones that are the most copied by the textile factories in Java and Bali.
Day 3 - Waingapu
Waingapu - Next Destination.
Food and Dining
