Detailed Trip Description
This is a 7 days camping safari starting and finishing in Kampala. This safari can also be arranged for you on a private basis. You will visit Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Situated in western Uganda , southeast of Fort portal, lays one of Uganda's most accessible rainforest's Kibale forest. It is known to have the highest diversity and number of primates in Africa. It also has the highest concentration of forest elephants in Uganda . This park is ranked high as the ultimate destination to the endangered chimpanzees. Situated in South Western Uganda, this Afromontane forest is characterized by dense under storey of fern, vines and shrubs with over 324 species of trees. Bwindi's treasure lies in the fact that it is home to over half the world's population of the highly endangered mountain Gorillas. Located in the western arm of the East African Rift valley, this Queen Elizabeth park is bordered by Lakes George and Edward and the two are connected by Kazinga Channel. This park in terms of biodiversity is one of the highly rated parks in the world. It includes, open savannah, green meadows, semi- deciduous tropical forests, dense equatorial rain forest and dense papyrus swamps.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Kampala
Private Car Service
After breakfast, depart Kampala and drive westwards towards fort Portal, which lies, in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the moon”.
Safari
A visit to Bigodi swamp to see smaller mammals and primates. Try to spot the rare colobus monkey and also the sitatunga.
Camping
Dinner and over night stay at kibale tented camp, Ndali lodge or Rwenzori guesthouse.
Day 2 - Kibale
Kibale national park primates tour.
National Parks
Full day interrupted by picnic lunch in search for chimpanzee and 10 other primates that inhabit the park. The guide, during this informative walk, will give you detailed explanations about the fauna and flora found in this forest.
Camping
Dinner and over night stay at Kibale tented camp, Ndali safari lodge or Rwenzori guesthouse.
Day 3 - Kibale
Kibale-Queen Elizabeth wildlife tour.
Private Car Service
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Safari
Enroute you will be able to view lion, buffalo, elephant, hyena and a good deal of antelope species. After lunch go for a 2-hour lunch trip to Kazinga channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through a very high concentration of hippos. It's also an excellent opportunity for photography and to see other game, bird watching with a record of 606 inventoried.

Day 4 - Uganda
Kyambura chimp trek.
Safari
With its characteristic grassy plain, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters, Queen Elizabeth is home to an abundance of wild life. Our game drive will reward us with viewing lions, Uganda kob, topi giant forest hog, cape buffalos, elephant, defassa water buck, leopard and bush buck.

Day 5 - Uganda
Queen-Bwindi Impenetrable NP.
Safari
After breakfast drive through the veritable “Switzerland of Africa” the mountainous and heavily terraced area of Kigezi and through winding roads to Bwindi.
Camping
Dinner and over night at Volcano tented camp, Mantana tented camp or Buhoma homestead.
Day 6 - Uganda
Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable.
Safari
After breakfast and briefing from your guide, storm the gorilla sanctuary. This incredibly dense forest and practically impenetrable, is criss-crossed by animal trails, which allow access to tourists. The mammals include the endangered mountain gorillas, rare golden monkey, elephant, buffalo, bushbuck, and black fronted duiker. The main activity in this park is gorilla trekking. As you slog your way, the time taken to encounter these gentle giants depends on the terrain and their movements. It also requires enduring physical stamina. And finally though exhausted when you come face to face with these majestic primates you feel exhilarated and the memory will last forever.

Dinner and overnight at volcano tented camp, Mantana camp or Buhoma homestead.
Day 7 - Kampala
Return to Kampala.
Private Car Service
Drag back to Kampala at leisure with a stop over at Agip Motel for lunch in Mbarara and arrive in Kampala early evening.
