Detailed Trip Description

A very mountainous country (about 70% of its land is mountains), Korea may look small on the map, but it is full of wonderful pockets of culture to explore. Join us for this Amazing Trip to South Korea to see the beauty in person. A Very special itinerary complete with a tour of KBS studios and some suprises! You will visit many places including Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Folk Museum, Korean Folk Village, Seorak Mountain National Park, Seoul Tower in Namsan Mountain, Myeongdong and many more.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - United States

 
Flight to South Korea.
Commercial Flight

Board your international flight to South Korea.


Day 2 - Seoul

 
Transfer to Seoul.

Upon arrival in S. Korea, you will be met by our English speaking tour manager at the Incheon International Airport for a brief orientation. Transfer to Seoul.

Sightseeing

Transfer to Seoul, capital city of S. Korea and leisurely stroll through the narrow streets of Insadong Alley, well known for its antiques and art galleries.

Performing Arts

After lunch at a local Korean restaurant, enjoy the tour of drama exhibition center themed by Producer Yoon Seokho’s four season’s drama series (Spring Waltz, Summer Scent, autumn in My Heart, Winter Sonata).

Hotel

Hotel check-in and overnight rest. (Breakfast and Lunch).


Day 3 - Seoul

 
Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Folk Museum.
Sightseeing

Today’s tour includes visit to Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Folk Museum. Gyeongbokgung Palace is considered to be the crown jewel of Korea Palaces and it’s the most visited Korea palaces of all.

Shopping

Today’s last stop is South Gate Market, one of the largest wholesale street markets in S. Korea.

Day 4 - Suncheon

 
Depart to Suncheon and enjoy full day at the Namee Island.
Sightseeing

After hotel breakfast, depart to Suncheon and enjoy full day at the Namee Island where “Winter Sonata” was filmed.

You’ll have chicken barbeque for lunch. Suncheon is most famous for its chicken barbeque.

Sightseeing

Last stop is Joon Sang’s (main character of Winter Sonata) house.


Day 5 - Suwon

 
Excursion to Suwon/Yongin.
Sightseeing

An excursion just outside of Seoul city takes you to Hwaseong Fortress which is registered as UNESCO’s World Heritage site. The fortress was designed by Jeong Yakyong (1762-1836), one of the greatest Confucian Silhak (School of Practical Learning) scholars.

Museums

After lunch at a local Korean restaurant, you’ll be taken to Korean Folk Village, a living museum that recreates traditional lifestyles including blacksmiths, weavers, and other artisans.

Day 6 - Seoul

 
Explore Seoul.
Relaxation

Free at Leisure. (Breakfast)


Day 7 - South Korea

 
Visit Gyeongju city today.
Museums

Depart to Gyeongju city after breakfast. Gyeongju is also known as museum without walls. This city is filled with cultural relics and it dates back to the 1st century BC in the province of Gyeongsangdo. Goguryeo (37 BC~AD668). The incredible 992 year history of the Unified Silla Kingdom makes today's Gyeongju a tourist’s dream.

After visiting Gyeungju National Museum, hotel check in and rest.(Breakfast and Lunch)


Day 8 - South Korea

 
Visit one of the most famous Buddhist Temples in the world in Gyeungju.

Today you’ll visit one of the most famous Buddhist Temples in the world. Bulguksa Temple was designated as a World Cultural Asset by UNESCO in 1995. The beauty of the temple itself and the artistic touch of the stone relics are known throughout the world.

Sightseeing

Next stop is Daereungwon(giant tombs), the royal burial grounds.

Hotel

Driving up north along the beautiful eastern seashore, you’re taken to Seorak Mountain. Hotel check in and rest. (Breakfast and Lunch).


Day 9 - Seoul

 
Enjoy Seorak Mountain National Park today.
National Parks

Seorak Mountain National Park is one of the most famous national parks in Korea and is beloved by many hikers and backpackers. Seorak Mt. is well known for its beauty, profound sea, spas, spring water, and ski resorts.

Sightseeing

Sightseeing will include Shinheungsa Temple and Sogongwon. OPTIONAL: Cable Car ($12USD) Last stop is Seorak Cinerama KBS drama set of Dae Jo Young.

Bus

Depart to Seoul city. (Breakfast and Lunch)


Day 10 - Seoul

 
Full day tour to MBC and/or KBS television broadcasting station.
Sightseeing

Visit to MBC and/or KBS television broadcasting station. This will be a full day tour conducted in conjunction with Korea Tourism Organization, complete with surprises! Detail tour information on this day is to be determined later.(Breakfast and Lunch)


Day 11 - Seoul

 
Visit Seoul Tower in Namsan Mountain.

This morning you’ll be taken to Seoul Tower in Namsan Mountain. Viewable from almost anywhere in Seoul, Seoul Tower serves as an excellent landmark. Built on a 262 meter peak in Namsan Park, the tower reaches to 480 meters above sea level.

Shopping

Move to Myeongdong located in the heart of Seoul.



Myeongdong is a representative shopping district in Korea. It also houses the headquarters of banks and securities brokers, and many western and traditional restaurants.

Later, embark on a Farewell Cruise with dinner on River Han. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).


Day 12 - Seoul

 
Depart to U.S.
Relaxation

Free at Leisure.

Commercial Flight

Transfer to Incheon International Airport after lunch. Depart to U.S. (Breakfast and Lunch).
