Detailed Trip Description
During this 12 Days Charming China Tour, you will enjoy sightseeing and many activities in Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Shanghai and Zhujiajiao.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Beijing
Hotel
Upon arrival, transfer to a 5* hotel for your overnight rest before starting your China adventure!
Day 2 - Beijing
Sightseeing
Today is a full day of sightseeing which includes many of this city’s highlights: Tiananmen Square, the magnificent Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace. (B, L, D)
Day 3 - Beijing
Historical and Educational Tours
Today’s excursion takes you to the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China.
Sightseeing
Later, visits are made to the Ming Tombs and the statue-lined Sacred Way. (B, L, D)
Day 4 - Beijing
Sightseeing
See the locals doing their morning Tai Chi in the park before touring the Temple of Heaven.
Museums
Next visit the Museum of China Ancient Architecture & History of Beijin A tour of the Hutong (old) District rounds out your tour of Beijing.
Performing Arts
In the evening enjoy a traditional Peking Duck Dinner & cultural show. (B, L, SD)
Day 5 - Xian
Beijing - Xian.
Commercial Flight
Take a short flight to Xian.
Hotel
Then you are transferred to your 4* hotel.
Sightseeing
A city tour includes the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Provincial History Museum. (B, L, D)
Day 6 - Xian
Sightseeing
This full day begins with a tour of the magnificent History Museum, where the 8000 Terra Cotta Warriors of Emperor Qin have been buried for over 2000 years!
Performing Arts
Later enjoy a traditional Dumpling Dinner with a Tang Dynasty performance. (B, L, SD)
Day 7 - Guilin
Xian - Guilin.
Commercial Flight
Fly to Guilin.
Hotel
You will settle in to your 4* hotel before your city tour.
Sightseeing
You will see such sights as Elephant Truck Hill and Piled Silk Hill (also called “Folded Brocade Hill”)---both were named because this is what they resemble. (B, L, D)
Day 8 - Guilin
River or Barge Cruise
A full day cruise on the Li River is an unforgettable visual experience. Between spectacular limestone peaks you'll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts.
Sightseeing
You may see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts, and if you're very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants. (B, L, D)
Day 9 - Guilin
Guilin/Shanghai.
Commercial Flight
A flight will take you to Shanghai.
Hotel
Get settled into your 4* hotel and have the remainder of the day free to explore this growing, modern city. (B)
Day 10 - Shanghai
Sightseeing
Today’s full day city tour highlights the famous Bund, Yu Yuan Gardens, and a silk carpet factory.
Performing Arts
You will be entertained by a Chinese Acrobatic Show in the evening. (B, L, D)
Day 11 - Shanghai
Sightseeing
Venture into the countryside in the morning with an excursion to Zhujiajiao, a nearby rivertown.
Museums
In the afternoon you will visit the modern and impressive Shanghai Museum.(B. L. D)
Day 12 - Shanghai
Shanghai - USA.
Your memorable visit to China ends with a transfer back to the Shanghai airport. (B)
