Detailed Trip Description

During this 13 Days Traditional China Tour, you will enjoy sightseeing and many activities in Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuzhen and Beijing. The tour includes the following accommodations: - 3 nights 4* hotel at Shanghai Galaxy Hotel or similar. - 2 nights at 4* Suzhou Gateway International Hotel or similar. - 2 nights at 4* lakeside Hangzhou Ramada or similar. - 1 night at deluxe Wuzhen Waterside Tongji Hotel or similar. - 4 nights at 5* Beijing Grand Chang An Hotel, Plaza Royal, Oriental Bay International, or similar.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - Shanghai

 
Hotel

Arrive in bustling Shanghai where you are transferred to a 4* hotel for overnight.

Day 2 - Shanghai

 
Sightseeing

Today is a full day city tour of the highlights: the Bund, Yu Garden, and the Shanghai Museum. Tonight enjoy a traditional Chinese Acrobatic Show. (B, L, D)


Day 3 - Suzhou

 
Shanghai - Suzhou.
Sightseeing

Further explore Shanghai by visiting the French Concession, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and Jade Buddha Temple.

Bus

In the afternoon drive to Suzhou in less than two hours.

Hotel

Check-in to the deluxe Gateway International Hotel. (B, L, SD)


Day 4 - Suzhou

 
Sightseeing

Visit the beautiful surrounds of Golden Rooster Lakeside, the New Developing Zone, the classical “Garden of Master of the Nets,” Silk Embroidery Institute, Garden of Lion Rock Forest, and the Ancient Water City Gate across the Grand Canal.

River or Barge Cruise

Then take a cruise along the picturesque ancient Grand Canal! (B, L, D)


Day 5 - Hangzhou

 
Suzhou - Hangzhou.
Hotel

Depart for Hangzhou and check into the 4* Ramada Hotel.

River or Barge Cruise

In the afternoon take a small sampan cruise on West Lake to Yanggon Causey.

Sightseeing

You will also have tea at the lakeside Garden of Guo Zhuang Villa. (B, L, D)


Day 6 - Hangzhou

 
Sightseeing

Visit the ancient Ink & Calligraphy Society and old Qinghefang Street to a Chinese herb medicine museum and store. Hu Xueyan Mansion, a garden home once owned by a wealthy man, is also toured. (B, L, D)


Day 7 - Hangzhou

 
Hangzhou - Wuzhen.
Bus

In the morning drive deep into a green forest valley to Dragon Well Tea Plantation and along Fuchuan River to Pagoda of Six Harmony.

Sightseeing

Next you arrive in Wuzhen, one of the best preserved water towns by the ancient Grand Canal.

Small Ship or Yacht Cruise

Travel by boat on the canal to your deluxe Wuzhen Waterside Hotel .

Food and Dining

Explore the city on your own after lunch and get ready for a local banquet in the evening. (B, L, SD)


Day 8 - Shanghai

 
Wuzhen - Shanghai.
Shopping

The morning is free time to relax, shop and take photographs.

In the afternoon you will return to Shanghai by a two hour motorcoach ride. (B, L )


Day 9 - Beijing

 
Shanghai - Beijing.
Shopping

The morning is free to enjoy Shanghai a little longer (or for some more shopping!)

In the afternoon take a flight to Beijing.

Day 10 - Beijing

 
Sightseeing

Today is a full day of sightseeing which includes many of this city’s highlights: Tiananmen Square, the mysterious Forbidden City, and the Summer Palace. (B, L, D)


Day 11 - Beijing

 
Sightseeing

Today’s excursion takes you to the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China.

Sightseeing

After that visits are made to the Ming Tombs and the statue lined Sacred Way. (B, L, D)


Day 12 - Beijing

 
Sightseeing

See the locals doing their morning Tai Chi in the park before touring the Temple of Heaven.

Museums

Next the Museum of China Ancient Architecture and History of Beijing are visited.

Sightseeing

A tour of the Hutong (old) section rounds out your tour of Beijing.

Performing Arts

In the evening enjoy a traditional Peking Duck Dinner & cultural show. (B, L, SD)


Day 13 - Beijing

 
Beijing - USA.

Bid a fond farewell to China as you are transferred to the airport for a international flight. (flight not included)
