Ireland is a land like no other, a land of endless welcomes and spontaneous good times. Take advantage of the unique country and make your trip a memorable one with this 10-day guided tour. There is so much to explore on this tour, including the medieval city of Dublin, the ‘town on the lakes’ Killarney, and the distinctive landscape of Connemara.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - On the Plane
USA-Dublin.
Commercial Flight
Fly transatlantic overnight to Dublin.
Food and Dining
Dinner is served and entertainment is provided.
Day 2 - Dublin
Arrival in Dublin, Ireland.
Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel.
Sightseeing
Spend the afternoon relaxing or travel to the Guiness Storehouse and discover what goes into making a pint of Guiness - the ingredients, brewing process, time, the craft and passion. The journey ends on the roof of the Gravity Bar with a pint and a spectacular view of Dublin.

This evening, get to know your fellow travelers over a welcome drink at your hotel.
Day 3 - Dublin
Sightseeing
Glimpse Viking and Medieval times as you pass by Christ Church to the stately St. Patrcik's Cathederal, a legacy of religious power from the 12th century.
Sightseeing
On then to the seat of learning at the heart of Dublin, Trinity College. Walk across the cobbled squares to the old library and see one of Ireland's greatest treasures - the famed 8th century Book of Kells.
Shopping
Spend the rest of your day exploring the city's stylish shops, Georgian squares, galleries and museums or find a cozy corner in a cafe or pub.
Day 4 - Killarney
Dublin/Blarney/Killarney.
Bus
Drive through the Curragh, the heart of Ireland's equestrian country. On to Blarney Castle with its magical stone that gives the gift of eloquence for a kiss.
Sightseeing
Time to stop at Blarney Woollen Mills to shop for Waterford crystal and other handicrafts before continuing on to bustling Killarney.
Sightseeing
The town on the lakes is famous for its lively pubs and open, cheerful atmosphere, full of what the Irish call "craic" (Gaelic for fun).
Day 5 - Killarney
Dingle Peninsula Excursion.
Sightseeing
Set out today on the Dingle Peninsula, which thrusts out into the Atlantic to cliam Ireland's most westerly point. Here, majestic hills soar green and purple over unspoiled valleys, glittering mountain streams tumble down to lakes and golden beaches stretch for miles.

There is time to explore the town of Dingle (An Daingean), a thriving, colorful fishing port.
Relaxation
Return to Killarney where the balance of the day is free.
Day 6 - Killarney
Kenmare & Garnish Island Excursion.
Sightseeing
Stroll around the quaint artist village of Kenmare, situated on the mouth of the River Sheen. Then enjoy breathtaking vistas as you journey to Glengariff where you board a local boat and set out on the short journey to Garnish Island.

Also known as Ilnacullin, this small island was transformed into the exotic garden in 1910 by Harold Peto. Framed by views of Bantry Bay, the gardens are land-scaped with neo-classical follies and planted with rich subtropical flora.

An added attraction to the boat trip to this Gulf Stream paradise, is the chance to see cavorting seals in Bantry Bay.
Day 7 - Killarney
Killarney/Cliffs of Moher/Connemara.
This morning cross the Shannon estuary by ferry and enter County Clare. Stop for a walk along the Cliffs of Moher, rising approximately 700 feet above the pounding Atlantic waves.
Bus
Then travel north across the Burren, a suddenly stark and barren landscape.
Sightseeing
Drop in for afternoon tea at Rathbaun Farm and meet an Irish farming family as they carry out their daily chores. Watch as the farmer shears a sheep and maneuvers his flock with the help of his dog.

Next on to tour Galway, "City of the Tribes," including lovely Galway Cathederal.
Hotel
Then on to your hotel on the Connemara coast. The balance of your day is free.
Day 8 - Ireland
Connemara.
Shopping
A full day at leisure to explore Connemara, shop or relax.
Sightseeing
You might want to take an optional excursion to the caption enchanted island of Inis Mor, the largest of the Aran Islands.
Sightseeing
Take a minibus tour which will highlight the Island's main attractions, including the austere landscape crisscrossed with dry stonewalls, amazing coastal views and the ancient cliff of Dun Aengus with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Shopping
Return to the main town, Kilronan, where there is time to explore the shops and perhaps pick up an Aran sweater.
Day 9 - Ireland
Connemara Excursions.
Sightseeing
In the West of Ireland, the starkly beautiful mountains of Galway and Mayo drop down to the coast. Little whitewashed cottages are scattered over a land of mountains, brooks and rivers. Visit Kylemore Abbey, a castellated neo-Gothic mansion, occupied by the Irish Benedictine community of nuns who came from Ypres after World War I.
Relaxation
The balance of the evening is free.
Day 10 - Dublin
Connemara/Dublin.
Sightseeing
On your final touring day, travel across the fertile plains of Meath to Clonmacnoise, an ancient monastic site founded in 545 A.D. by St Ciaran. This timeless and reflective place is in sharp contrast to your final destination today, Dublin.
Food and Dining
This evening, join an optional dinner at the Abbey Tavern.
Day 11 - Dublin
Depart Dublin.
Your homebound flight arrives the same day.
