The Lake District National Park has 12 of the largest lakes in England with Wastwater being its deepest lake and Scafell Pike being its highest mountain with several thriving communities throughout the landscape.
Sailing
Hire a boat for the chance to canoe, sail or fish on one of the rivers or discover the true Lake District at the visitor center that overlooks Windermere. The tranquil atmosphere is sure to make for the perfect break to the north of England.
