Detailed Trip Description

Enjoy 10 Days Alaskan Adventure tour featuring sightseeing and many activities in Talkeetna, Denali, Fairbanks, Anchorage, Alyeska, Homer and Seward. Highlights of this trip include a visit to historic town site and panoramic views of Mt. Mckinley 6,194 m (20,320 ft) in Talkeetna. In Denali you will visit the Denali National Par and the Iditarod Headquarters before heading to Fairbanks where you will visit the University of Anchorage Museum, do some City Sightseeing, see Downtown and the Alaska Pipeline & the Musk-Ox Farm. You will visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, do some city Sightseeing, see Downtown, and the Lake Hood & Resolution Park in Anchorage as well. You will then drive along the Scenic Turnigan Arm, see the Cook Inlet visit Beluga Point; take a gondola ride with panoramic views and lunch at Mt Alyeska in Alyeska. You will see the Russian Village of Homer, Visit the famous "Spit", see Kachemak Bay, and finally while in Seward you will see the dormant volcano Mt. Redoubt, see Mt. Marathon and visit Exit Glacier.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - Anchorage

 
Hotel

Check-in to your hotel.

Enjoy the evening at your leisure.


Day 2 - Denali National Park

 
Anchorage to Denali National Park via Talkeetna.
Bus

Meet your crew and then we are off. We travel north through the Matanuska Valley to Denali National Park.

Sightseeing

Enroute we'll stop in the quaint community Talkeetna which where climbers begin their moutaineering expeditions up to Mt. McKinley.

Sightseeing

You will have the opportunity to take a flight-seeing excursion around Mt. McKinley for spectacular view, visit Talkeetna climbing museum and then we are off to Denali where we arrive late afternoon. (Dinner)


Day 3 - Denali

 
Denali.
Sightseeing

Today is free to explore Denali.

National Parks

Take a bus tour into Denali National Park, experience one of the National Park Service programs, hike or kayak. (Breakfast)


Day 4 - Fairbanks

 
Denali to Fairbanks.
Rafting

This morning you'll have the opportunity for some white water river rafting.

Sightseeing

We continue North to Fairbanks, gateway to the artic circle. Upon arrival we'll introduce you to Fairbanks with a city sightseeing tour and a visit to the University of Alaska Fairbanks Museum. (Dinner)


Day 5 - Fairbanks

 
Adventure

For those wanting adventure and a once in a lifetime experience we have fly/drive excursions that journey above the Arctic Circle and explore not only the gates of the Arctic Circle National Park but also the opportunity to extend your trip to see a native Alaskan Village.

Sightseeing

You can also stay local and do an extended Fairbanks city tour with a ride on the Riverboat Discovery. (Breakfast)


Day 6 - Anchorage

 
Fairbanks to Anchorage.
Sightseeing

Our drive today takes us back to Anchorage where we will do some city sight seeing and visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center to learn about the original people of Alaska. (Breakfast)


Day 7 - Alaska

 
Anchorage to Homer.
Bus

This morning we leave Anchorage and head onto the Kenai Peninsula.

Sightseeing

We'll stop at the Alyeska resort for lunch and an included gondola ride to the top of Alyeska mountain for breathtaking views!

Sightseeing

After lunch we continue to the beautiful town of Homer located on Kachemak Bay. (Lunch, Breakfast)


Day 8 - Alaska

 
Homer.
Adventure

The day is yours to explore Homer; why not experience a bear viewing flight, halibut fishing or visit the artist community of Halibut Cove? (Breakfast)


Day 9 - Seward

 
Homer to Seward.
Bus

Today we drive the magnificent Sterling Highway to Seward.

Sightseeing

Upon arrival you'll have the opportunity to visit the Sealife Center and explore the quaint town of Seward. (Dinner)


Day 10 - Anchorage

 
Seward to Anchorage.
Optional
Small Ship or Yacht Cruise

This morning you'll have time for an optional cruise into the Kenai Fjords National Park. You may see otters, sea lions, puffins and whales!

Bus

Travel this afternoon back to Anchorage where you'll bid farewell to your new friends upon arrival at the hotel. (Breakfast)
