Detailed Trip Description
Enjoy 12 Days Eastern Discovery ( NY to NO ) tour featuring sightseeing and many activities in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Start of by seeing the French Quarter, Jackson Square & the French Market, the Garden Districts Mansions and enjoy the nightlife of Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Then you'll stop by and see the retired battleship USS Alabama in Alabama before heading over to Pensacola to relax on Florida beaches in the Gulf of Mexico. You will then be transfered to the Amusement Parks in Orlando. You will also visit the entertainment area of Old Town before heading to the Kennedy Space Venter for a tour, and see the Saturn V rocket & Space Shuttle launch pads before heading on a tour of America's oldest city, St. Augustine. You will visit Castillo de San Marcos National Monument America's 300 year old fortress in St. Augustine, and then head to Savannah for a city sightseeing tour, See the historic city squares, homes & gardens made famous by the film 'Forrest Gump". Make sure to enjoy some of the nightlife Savannah has to offer before heading to see the historic 'southern' town of Charleston, and visiting the city market. Head to Raleigh to see the state capital building and then to Richmond, Virginia before heading on an evening Illuminations Tour of Washington DC. There you will visit John F. Kennedy's Grave & the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, see the Changing of the Guard and the Pentagon, White House, Capital Building, Library of Congress & Washington Monument, the Lincoln, Jefferson, Vietnam, FDR & Korean Memorials and visit the Smithsonian Museums of Natural History, Air & Space and American History, the Holocaust Museum, the F.B.I & International Spy Museums. You will then take a guided tour of the US Naval Academy in Annapolis and stop to see the Liberty Bell & Independence Hall in Philadelphia before heading to your final stop: New York. Enjoy a panoramic View of New York City, travel through the Lincoln Tunnel into Manhattan and see the Lincoln Center for performing arts while in New York.

Day 1 - Washington DC
New York to Washington D.C.

Let Freedom Ring! What an incredible beginning! Four fabulous East Coast states, two tantalizing cities, one U.S. military academy, and a coach load of new friends. We'll pop in on Annapolis, Maryland and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, both lovely and historic, on our way to where it all happens, Washington, D.C.
Sightseeing
Your jaw will drop at how beautiful this city is lit up at night during this evening's orientation tour that includes views of the White House and visits to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Capital Building, and the Lincoln, Jefferson and FDR Memorials. (Dinner)
Day 2-3 - Washington DC
Washington DC at Leisure.
Sightseeing
Phew, so much to do in two days - you can see the White House, Capital Building, Washington Monument, and Library of Congress.
Museums
There is also plenty of time to visit the Smithsonian museums - the Museum of Natural History, the National Air and Space Museum and the Museum of American History. ( Breakfast, Dinner )
Day 4 - Raleigh/Durham
Washington D.C. to Raleigh.
Sightseeing
Southern Hospitality at its best. We leave Washington D.C on a thoughtful note as we visit the Kennedy gravesites and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery on our way to North Carolina.
Bus
We'll stop in historic Richmond, Virginia before arriving in Raleigh, North Carolina, your home tonight. ( Breakfast, Dinner )
Day 5 - Savannah
Raleigh to Savannah.
Sightseeing
Hi Y'all. Practice your best Southern drawl as you cross the Carolinas today into Georgia. Your road crew will introduce you to the charming city of Savannah and show you the historic squares where "Forest Gump" and "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" were filmed.
Nightlife
Tonight, why not join us for dinner at the Pirates House? (optional) After we'll head to the riverfront where the nightlife is way too tempting! ( Breakfast )
Day 6 - St. Augustine
Savannah to St. Augustine.
Sightseeing
You'll have time to wander the historic squares of Savannah before heading into, America's oldest city, St. Augustine, Florida. Your road crew will introduce you to this historic city and you'll have time to explore the town.

Tonight, join us for a ghostly adventure! (optional) ( Breakfast, Dinner )
Day 7 - Orlando
St. Augustine to Orlando including Kennedy Space Center.
Sightseeing
Blast Off! You will have most of the day to explore Kennedy Space Center. Your tour includes the Saturn V rocket, the history of the Apollo moon landing flights and views of the Space Shuttle Launch pads.
Hotel
This afternoon we'll make our way to Orlando, our home for the next three nights. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 8-9 - Orlando
Orlando at Leisure.
Amusement Parks
There are plenty of parks to choose from - Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Sea World, and the Walt Disney World complex including Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Centre, Animal Kingdom, and the Disney - MGM Studios.
Nightlife
For nightlife, why not try Disney's Pleasure Island or Universal's City Walk. ( Breakfast )
Day 10 - Pensacola
Orlando to Pensacola.
Beach
Life's a Beach. After two days of fun in Orlando, you'll need a day to rest on the beautiful, white, sandy beaches of Florida's Panhandle on the Gulf of Mexico. (Dinner)
Day 11 - New Orleans
Pensacola to New Orleans.
Sightseeing
Let the Good Time Roll! Today you will cross the states of Mississippi and Alabama, as we make our way to New Orleans. We'll introduce you to New Orleans, one of America's most uniques cities,with a orientation tour.
Shopping
Then you'll have the chance to explore the Louisiana Swamps on an airboat. Afterwards look out Bourbon Street here we come! ( Breakfast )
Day 12 - New Orleans
Au revoir. There is time to exchange email addresses and contact details as your tour ends after breakfast. (Breakfast)
