Detailed Trip Description

Enjoy 12 Days North by North East tour featuring sightseeing and many activities in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Quebec, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. Start off your trip in the yachting capital of the USA, Newport and see the summer mansions of the rich and the famous. Then take a sightseeing tour in Boston; see Harvard University, Boston Commons and the original 'Cheers' Bar. Don't forget to walk the Freedom Trail. Then go to Maine to take a scenic drive through the novelist 'Stephen King's Territory.' Cross the border into Canada and enjoy the scenic drive through Quebec. Visit the only walled city in North America, Quebec City. Take a sightseeing tour in Montreal and visit the old town and its old port. While in Montreal, visit Mt. Royal, Montreal's largest park that overlooks the city and see St. Joseph's Oratory. You can even check out the unique Olympic Stadium. Then hop on over to Toronto and travel along the St. Lawrence River Valley, see the Thousand Islands and have a sightseeing tour. While you're there, see CN Tower, the eclectic shops on Yonge Street and the University of Toronto. Ready for some romance? Go to Niagara Falls to take the Maid of the Mist boat cruise to the base of the Falls and have an evening illuminations tour. Then go to Cleveland to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! End your trip in Chicago where you will first have a city sightseeing tour. Then see Lake Michigan, Buckingham Fountain, the Navy Pier and Chicago River. Ready for more sightseeing? Go to Soldier Field home to "The Bears" American Football. Before you go don't forget to check out the U.S. cellular Field, home to the Chicago White Sox baseball club. Finally see the Hancock Building, Sears Tower and the Magnificent Mile.

Day 1 - Boston

 
New York to Boston.
Sightseeing

From the Big Apple to Beantown. Two tantalizing cities, four fabulous East Coast states, and a coach load of clients all adds up to a whole lot of fun! We'll glance at the lifestyles of the rich and famous as we drive by some of Newport, Rhode Island's summer mansions. And don't worry, "Everybody knows your name" in historic and eclectic Boston, Massachusetts.

Day 2 - Boston

 
Sightseeing

Cheers, Everyone! Hang out with the brains at Harvard University, roll up to the "Cheers" bar, walk in the footsteps of great Americans, savour the sights and smells of Quincy Marketplace and Fanueil Hall, or just hop on and off the optional trolley tour around this amazing town.

Nightlife

With more universities than any other U.S. city, there is plenty of nightlife for you to discover. ( Breakfast )


Day 3 - Quebec

 
Boston to Quebec City.

Later, U.S.A. Bon Jour Canada! France meets North America in the French speaking province of Quebec. After driving through Stephen King territory, the state of Maine, you'll cross over the border into Canada and continue to the unique Quebec City - the only walled city in North America.

Brush up on your French over dinner tonight in the heart of downtown Quebec. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 4 - Quebec

 
Sightseeing

You'll fall under Quebec City's spell during a guided tour of the Old City, the cradle of French civilization in North America. Soak up Quebec's "joie de vivre" attitude this afternoon with free time to wander the cool cafés and windy streets.

Enjoy a breathtaking view of Quebec by joining us for an optional dinner in the city's only revolving restaurant. ( Breakfast )


Day 5 - Montreal

 
Quebec City to Montreal.

Ooooh La La! Montréal is hip and happening with all the culture, sophistication, and cafes as the city of Paris, France.

Day 6 - Toronto

 
Montreal to Toronto.

You'll know why it's called the Thousand Islands as we wander alongside this area of the lovely St. Lawrence River Valley.

For a closer look, take an optional boat cruise and check it out.

Then we're on our way to Canada's largest city and a spot with international flair - Toronto. An afternoon sightseeing tour will introduce you to the fabulous city.

Day 7 - Toronto

The sky's the limit! Feel the global groove of this city by visiting its diverse neighborhoods and shopping areas.

If you are game, catch an optional tour of Toronto's baseball stadium, Rogers Centre, or get your adrenaline going by zooming up the world's tallest freestanding structure, the CN Tower.


Day 8 - Niagara Falls

 
Toronto to Niagara Falls.
Small Ship or Yacht Cruise

Wet & Wild. Throw on a blue rain poncho and get wet at the base of Niagara Falls on the "Maid of the Mist" boat cruise.

If that isn't enough, perhaps you'd like a bird's eye view of it all on an optional helicopter ride.

Day 9 - Cleveland

I Love Rock N' Roll! Get your passports ready as we cruise back into the "Good Old U.S.A." and rock on over to Cleveland, Ohio with a visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Jam with your new friends tonight at one of downtown Cleveland's nightspots. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 10 - Chicago

 
Cleveland to Chicago.

Sweet Home, Chicago! This city is great - awesome architecture, raw blues, cosmopolitan shopping, and hot bars.

Day 11 - Chicago

 
Chicago at Leisure.
Museums

Catch a birds eye view of the city on top of the world's tallest building, sink your teeth into Chicago's famous thick crust pizza, or ponder the glories of this city's smart museums - today is your day to get out there and blow through this "Windy City."

Meet up with your touring buddies for another night of fun in America's third largest city. ( Breakfast, Dinner )


Day 12 - Chicago
