Day 1 - Darwin
Museums
This afternoon, take a tour of the highlights of Darwin and visit the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.
Fly Fishing
Later, join your Tour Director for a welcome drink. (D)

Stay at Darwin Central Hotel (ST).
Day 2 - Katherine
Darwin - Nitmiluk National Park - Katherine.
National Parks
Stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, then on to Nitmiluk National Park.
Ocean Cruise
Enjoy a cruise on Katherine Gorge, as the walls reflect the colors of the afternoon sun. (B,D)

Stay at Paraway Motel (ST).
Day 3 - Kununurra
Katherine - Lake Argyle - Kununurra.
Sightseeing
This morning, visit the historic Durack Homestead. Then travel to Lake Argyle, Australia’s largest manmade lake.
River or Barge Cruise
Next, board a cruise along the Ord River to picturesque Kununurra, watch for wildlife along the way. (B,D)

Day 4 - Kununurra

Travel to Parry Lagoon Nature Reserve to see the birdlife of this region and learn about traditional lifestyles. Continue to Wyndham and stop at the Five Rivers Lookout for the panoramic view.

El Questro Ranch - Halls Creek.
Sightseeing
Visit the Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine, the largest in the world. Take a guided tour of the mine and see the diamond display.

Day 8 - Fitzroy Crossing
Halls Creek - Geikie Gorge Cruise - Fitzroy Crossing.

Day 9 - Broome
Fitzroy Crossing - Derby - Broome.
Sightseeing
Travel to the port of Derby and see the famous Boab Prison Tree. Then, on to the tropical resort town of Broome. See Chinatown and Streeters Jetty, then the rest of the day is free. (B)

Day 10 - Broome
Beach
Today is at leisure to explore this tropical hideaway at your own pace. Take a stroll along the pristine sand and swim in the turquoise blue waters of Cable Beach.

Wander through Chinatown or shop for pearls.

At the end of the day sit back, relax and watch the spectacular sunset over the Indian Ocean. You might want to take a camel ride along Cable Beach (own expense). (B)

Broome - Port Hedland.

Skirt the Great Sandy Desert, heading to Port Hedland, an important shipping outlet. (B,D)
