Enjoy 11 Days Rockies Panorama Escorted tour featuring sightseeing and many activities in Banff, Jasper, Kamloops, Vancouver and Victoria.
Day 1 - Vancouver
Upon arrival at the Vancouver airport, take a complimentary transfer to the hotel. Your Tour Director is available this afternoon to greet you and answer questions.
Food and Dining
Join your fellow traveling companions at 6 p.m. for a Welcome Reception at the hotel.
Stay at Marriott Residence Inn Vancouver Downtown (F).
Day 2 - Vancouver
Today’s sightseeing tour starts with Chinatown, the second largest in North America. Next is Gastown, with its charming cobbled streets and historic buildings. Then on to Stanley Park to view the famous totem poles and learn about their significance to the aboriginal community.
This afternoon is free to explore the city on your own.

Day 3 - Kamloops
Vancouver - ‘Rocky Mountaineer’ - Kamloops.
Board the Rocky Mountaineer train for an unforgettable daylight rail journey through British Columbia and Alberta. Pass through the fertile fields of the Fraser River Valley and alongside the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains before entering Fraser Canyon.
Following the Thompson River, arrive at the cattle ranch city of Kamloops for the night. (CB,L) Stay at Assigned by Rocky Mountaineer.
Day 4 - Jasper
Kamloops - ‘Rocky Mountaineer’ - Jasper.
Back on board the Rocky Mountaineer, continue through rolling hills and into the snowy peaks of the Monashee Mountains. Highlights of your journey include Pyramid Falls, the glaciers of the Albreda Icefield and Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.
After dinner, learn about the area’s abundant wildlife from a local expert. (CB,L,D)
Arrive at the delightful alpine resort of Jasper this afternoon. Stay at Chateau Jasper (SF).
Day 5 - Jasper
Start the day with a narrated walk along Maligne Canyon, one of the most beautiful gorges in the Canadian Rockies, with spectacular rock formations and waterfalls.
The rest of the day is at leisure.
Enjoy the superb vistas, stroll the quaint streets of Jasper, or join an optional activity, including a lake cruise, a gentle river float trip, or a guided alpine walk. Your Tour Director will be happy to help you plan your time. (FB)
Day 6 - Banff
Jasper - Columbia Icefield - Banff.
This morning, travel along the Icefields Parkway, hailed as one of the world's most scenic drives. At the Columbia Icefield board an Ice Explorer for an exciting expedition on massive Athabasca Glacier.
Then climb Sunwapta Pass, stopping at Bow Lake before arriving in Banff. (FB,D)

Day 7 - Banff
See the highlights of Banff on a morning tour. View Bow Falls, the viewpoint of Surprise Corner along Tunnel Mountain Drive, and the wind-shaped ‘hoodoos’ overlooking Bow Valley. Ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain on board the Banff Gondola for a bird''s eye view of six mountain ranges.
The afternoon and evening are free. Perhaps take an optional scenic helicopter flight over Mount Assiniboine or a float trip down the Bow River. (FB)
Day 8 - Banff
Banff - Lake Louise - Chase.
Your first stop this morning is at stunning Lake Louise. On a narrated walk along the lakeshore, learn about the wildlife, nature and history of this spectacular lake. Then head west over Kicking Horse Pass and through the Columbia Mountains and Glacier National Park before traveling through the temperate rainforest of Mount Revelstoke National Park.
At Little Shuswap Lake, a native Elder of the Little Shuswap Indians leads an inter-pretive walk featuring native artifacts, beautiful wood carvings and a kekuli pit house, the historic Shuswap winter home.
Food and Dining
Enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner while traditional stories are presented by a native Storyteller. After dinner, hear the legend of the dreamcatcher, and perhaps make one of your own. (FB,D)

Day 9 - Victoria
Chase - Victoria.
A scenic day! Travel over the majestic Cascade Range and alongside the Coast Mountains. Then follow the Fraser River to the Pacific and cross the Strait of Georgia by ferry, cruising through the Gulf Islands to beautiful Vancouver Island and the capital city, Victoria.
An orientation tour includes the beautiful Inner Harbour, the ornate Parliament Buildings and Bastion Square.
As an option this evening, why not join an excursion to Canada's oldest Chinatown followed by a delicious Chinese banquet? (FB)

Day 10 - Victoria
Food and Dining
A special breakfast is hosted by a horticulturist at the conservatory of the Blue Poppy Restaurant at world-famous Butchart Gardens.
There is time afterwards to explore this 55-acre showcase of floral displays. The rest of the day is free to explore the city on your own, strolling through the flower-filled streets and browsing in the shops for souvenirs, or simply relax with a cup of tea at the regal Empress Hotel.
Perhaps join one of the optional activities available, including a horse-drawn carriage ride, an exciting Orca whale watching excursion, or an outing aboard a historic tall ship.

This evening, savor a Farewell Dinner at a local specialty restaurant. (FB,D)
Day 11 - Vancouver
Victoria - Depart Vancouver.
Back to the mainland today, where a complimentary transfer is provided to Vancouver International Airport and the hotel in Vancouver for guests extending their stay. Please do not schedule any flights before 3:30 p.m. (FB)
