The Beijing Olympics from August 5-24 is an exciting time to be in China. The Chinese are marshaling their manpower and economic force to make this one of the greatest Olympics of all time. This promises to be a historic time which can produce many incredible memories. We recommend that you obtain your Olympic event tickets. Then we can take care of everything else! We can provide you complete China travel services: , hotels, transfers, visas, international flights, meals and whatever you need. We have created a flexible schedule in Beijing allowing for you to attend your desired events and tour the other days. We will take you to whatever Olympic Events that you want during the tour. Itinerary: Starting in In Flight with stops in Beijing, Ulaanbaatar, Dalanzadgad.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - On the Plane

 
In Flight.
Commercial Flight

Depart the US for your flight to Beijing. The adventure begins!


Day 2 - Beijing

 
Welcome to Beijing.

Upon arrival in Beijing (Aug. 17), you will have a guided transfer to your hotel. Meals on Plane.

Day 3 - Beijing

 
Sporting Events

We have created a flexible schedule in Beijing allowing for you to attend your desired events and tour the other days. Tours are included in the prices, Ticket prices are not included in tour price, but we can help you obtain tickets.

Olympic Events Or Beijing Sightseeing:
Sightseeing

We will take you to whatever Olympic Events that you want during the day. You can also sightsee in Beijing or have free days. (Olympic event tickets are not included)

Main Tour Choices:
Sightseeing

Tour Day: Enjoy a tour of a Chinese Hutong. Includes a rickshaw ride, a short walking tour and visiting the home of a local family. B, L Option: Beijing Opera.

Sightseeing

Tour Day: Temple of Heaven, Great Wall + Ming Tombs: The day begins with a visit to TianAnmen Square and then to the Forbidden City. After lunch you will go to the Temple of Heaven, which is where the Emperor went every year to commune with the gods.

Options:
Sightseeing

We can possibly take you to one or more of the following: the Summer Palace, the Beijing Zoo, Panda Exhibit, the Yong He Gong Tibetan Buddhist Lamasery, to fill parts of the day that are not filled with Olympic events.


Day 4-5 - Beijing

Sporting Events

We will take you to whatever Olympic Events that you want during the day. You can also sightsee in Beijing or have free days. (Olympic event tickets are not included)


Day 6 - Ulaanbaatar

 
Olympic Events Or Beijing Sightseeing:
Sporting Events

We will take you to whatever Olympic Events that you want during the day. You can also sightsee in Beijing or have free days. (Olympic event tickets are not included).

Commercial Flight

In afternoon fly to UlaanBaatar (VIA BEIJING).

Hotel

Once you arrive you will be met by your guide and then transferred to your hotel. B, L


Day 7- 8 - Ulaanbaatar

Sightseeing

The day's touring includes: the Gandan Monastery, Choijin Lama Temple Museum and the National History Museum, which has some wonderful exhibits, especially concerning Chingiis Khan and the tribal costumes. B, L

Day 8
Sightseeing

Today visit to the Natural History Museum, featuring the dinosaur fossils and eggs collections. Then visit the Bogd Khan Summer and Winter Palace, which features a ger covered in snow leopard pelts and an empress's dress with over 11,000 pearls strewn on it.

Food and Dining

Enjoy dinner at a Ger Restaurant with traditional Mongolian performers. B, D


Day 9 - Dalanzadgad

 
Commercial Flight

You will fly to Dalanzadgad.

Camping

During the Gobi Desert Trek you will stay overnight in a Ger Camp. B, L, D


Day 10 - Dalanzadgad

 
Hiking

Your first trek day includes the Yol Am area which features a glacier in the midst of the desert. B, L, D


Day 11 - Dalanzadgad

 
Sightseeing

On your second day enjoy a full day tour of the Flaming Cliffs and Dalanzadgad. The last day of the trek you will have a free morning to enjoy the area.

Commercial Flight

Fly back to UB.

Hotel

Hotel transfer. B, L.


Day 12 - On the Plane

 
Commercial Flight

You will be transferred to the airport for your morning flight back to the Beijing. You will continue in the airport for your international flight back to USA with many wonderful memories!
