China is a land of ferocious contrasts. If you are a nature lover, the amazing landscape and country scenery in Guilin, will never disappoint you. Climb the Great Wall, see unique animals at the Beijing Zoo and Beijing Aquarium, marvel at the 2000 year old Terracotta Army and appreciate the Farmers' Paintings, take a Yangtze Cruise and admire the famed Three Gorges Dam, enjoy a day in Merryland Theme Park and cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Beijing
Arrival in Beijing.

International flight arranged by you.
Beijing is an ancient city with a long history. It is the political, cultural and economic center of China.
Hotel
Upon your arrival at Beijing's international airport, your personal tour guide will meet you with a welcome sign and escort you to your hotel. Your guide will confirm your Beijing itinerary with you and be glad to introduce some good local restaurants near your hotel, where you will be free to have a small adventure by trying China's traditional cuisine on your own.

Relaxation
The rest of the day you will be yours to rest and adjust to the time zone difference before you begin exploring the ancient and cosmopolitan city of Beijing the next day.
Day 2 - Beijing
Beijing city tour to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City & Temple of Heaven.

After breakfast, you will first visit Beijing's historic Tiananmen Square, followed by a visit to the magnificent Forbidden City.

Tiananmen Square: the largest city square in the world and the spiritual heart of China, where the national flag is raised exactly at sunrise everyday.

Forbidden City: located in the center of Beijing, used to be the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years, it is the grandest integral palace complex still remaining in China.

In the afternoon, you will marvel at another Beijing's famous landmarks, the Temple of Heaven, which was built in 15th century.
Temple of Heaven: the place which was visited yearly by the emperors who performed intricate rituals to insure a good harvest for the whole nation at ancient times.

Day 3 - Beijing
Visit Great Wall and Sacred Road in Beijing.
Sightseeing
Today you will visit China's famous Great Wall (Badaling section), and the Sacred road.
Great Wall: the most famous symbol of China and one of the world's most remarkable architectural wonders, it was built over 2,000 years ago and stretches about 6,700km.
Sightseeing
Sacred Road: the path lined with stone statues of animals, mystical beasts and officials who are supposed to serve the emperor in his afterlife, through which the sitting emperors would go to perform memorial rituals for the ancestors once a year.
Sporting Events
Lunch will be served at a Chinese restaurant located near the wall. On your way back from your visit to the Great Wall, you will be driven around Beijing's main Olympic venues, the National Stadium (Bird's Nest) where the opening and closing ceremonies will be held, and the National Aquatic building (Water Cube). Feel free to take some beautiful photographs of those stadiums.
For dinner you will enjoy one of China's most famous dishes, Peking Duck. Dinner will be held at Beijing's famous Quanjude restaurant. The restaurant is the most famous Peking Duck restaurant in China was established in 1864 during the late Qing dynasty.
Peking Duck Dinner: Peking Roast Duck is regarded as one of the most delicious dishes throughout the world. A Peking Duck Dinner is usually a fixed item on any Beijing tour itinerary. At time-honored restaurants such as Quan Ju De, you can savor the mouth-watering traditional Beijing specialty, and at the same time the chefs will show you how they cuts the meat into exactly 108 slices from one duck, each having a piece of skin.

Day 4 - Beijing
Beijing / Xian.
Sightseeing
On your 4th day will be a trip that will be an exciting adventure for both children and adults. After having breakfast in your hotel, you will go to visit the Beijing Zoo.The highlight of any trip to the Beijing Zoo is the Panda Bears which have been designated a national treasure of China. While visiting the Beijing Zoo,you will also be taken to the Beijing Aquarium. The Beijing Aquarium is near the Beijing Zoo.

Beijing Zoo: the largest zoo in China, where there are several examples of China's rarities such as notably pandas and Golden Monkeys.

Beijing Aquarium: This world-class aquarium features an Amazon rain forest, coral reefs, and a shark aquarium, where you can dive with the sharks. Not to be missed are the dolphin shows and the marine mammal pavilion.
Commercial Flight
After your visit to Beijing is complete,you will then be transferred to the airport for your flight to Xian. During the Tang Dynasty (618-905), Xian was the largest city in the world and the starting point for the world-famous Silk Road. Internal flight arranged by us.

Day 5 - China
Visit Ancient City Walls, Terracotta Warriors and Horses and Bell Tower in Xian.
Adventure
Today, you will explore the incredible life-size Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It's one of the main highlights of any trip to China.
Terracotta Warriors and Horses: discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, this is one of the most significant archeological finds of the 20th century. These 6,000 life-size painted Terracotta Warriors and Horses --individually sculpted from real-life models and arranged in battle formation have been protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history--Emperor QinShihuang for 2,200 years ago.
Sightseeing
After lunch, enjoy strolling along the Ancient City Walls and then visit Xian's bell tower.
Ancient City Walls : built during the 14th century on Tang dynasty foundations and they date from the Ming dynasty. The walls are the largest and best-preserved ancient fortress in the world. There is a gate in each of the four sides, and the gate towers built over each gate look lofty and magnificent and form a tight defence engineering system.
Bell Tower: standing in the center of the city and built in 1582, the Bell Tower is a three-story wooden structure with traditional Chinese architectural features. It is so called because an iron bell is hung in the tower to give the correct time.
For dinner a savory dumpling banquet will be arranged for you.
Dumpling Dinner: Dumpling or Jiaozi in Chinese is a traditional and popular food in China, especially in the north. At the dinner, nearly 20 varieties of dumplings that are steamed and stuffed with different delicious fillings such as vegetables, meats and seafood are served. These dumplings are not only tasty, but also characteristic with their colors and fragrance, style and culture meanings. All these make the dinner so unique that you should not miss it when traveling in Xi'an.

Day 6 - Chongqing
Xian / Chongqing / Yangtze River Cruise.

After breakfast, you will first visit the historic Big Wild Goose Pagoda and temple.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda: regarded by many as a symbol of the city Xian, the pagoda was built in 652 A.D. in the Tang Dynasty to house the sutras brought back from India by the famous monk Xuan-zang.

After the trip, you will be driven by private car to Huxian County.
You will discover the secret of traditional Chinese "farmer's paintings". By using their brushes and artistic talents, peasants record their everyday life, the beautiful landscape, the great harvests and the busy festivals vividly. It's an excellent chance to appreciate not only the farmer's paintings, but also witness what life is like for Chinese farmers.
Huxian County: Huxian County in Southwest of Xian, where we can appreciate the famous farmers'painting. In their spare time, the local farmers would pick up their brushes and put their happy daily life into those beautiful paintings.

Day 7 - China

Your cruise along the picturesque Yangtze River departs Chongqing at 08:00AM. Along the cruise there will be a shore excursion at the famous Fengdu Ghost City from 2:00-5:00. Accommodations: On the Cruise. Meals: B,L,D.

Fengdu Ghost City: constructed on the Mingshan Hill by the river bank, it is so called because of the legend which goes that about 1,700 years ago, two officials, Yin and Wang (the combination of their surnames means "Ghost King ") became Taoists here and eventually Immortals. Now with fantastic temples of underworld demons and gods, it shows the Chinese ghost culture and is a place for punishing the devil and awarding the good.
Day 8 - China
Yangtze River Cruise.
River or Barge Cruise
Traveling down the Yangtze River you will witness the amazing three gorges. It is something that no visitor to China will want to miss. First you will pass though the first gorge named, Qutang Gorge and then passing through the second Wu Gorge. You will have an unforgettable side excursion on the Shennong Stream from 11:30 to 3:00. You will be transferred to smaller vessels. The boat captain will guide the boat upstream so you can experience this tributary's amazing topography. Back on board your cruise ship you will pass through the third gorge known as Xiling Gorge and then pass through the amazing Three Gorges Dam Ship Lock. After which, your ship will anchor for the night. Accommodations: On the Cruise. Meals: B,L,D.

Shennong Stream: a small tributary of the Yangtze River is 60 kilometers long and is famous for its picturesque scenery. Shennong Stream is beautiful and ancient. When you take a sampan drifting along it, which is not without risk yet exhilarating and a challenge to battle with the nature. You will be attracted and surprised by its crystal clear steam flowing swiftly from north to south through deep gorges, steep ridges and peaks, thick vegetation and wild flowers, flying birds and a plank road built along a cliff and ancient hanging coffins. Sweet love songs will be presented to you by the local ethnic people.
Day 9 - China
Yangtze River Cruise.

Today's Highlight is the shore excursion to the world famous Three Gorges Dam from 8:00 to 10:30. Accommodations: On the Cruise. Meals: B,L,D
Sightseeing
The Three Gorge Dam: spanning the Yangtze at Sandouping, Yichang, Hubei province, China, construction began in 1994, it is now the largest hydroelectric dam in the world. The Dam will be 2,335 meters long, 18 meters wide, and its bottom will be 130 meters wide after completion in 2009, and by then the water level will rise to 135 meters above sea level. The reservoir began filling on June 1, 2003, and will occupy the present position of the scenic Three Gorges area, between the cities of Yichang, Hubei; and Fuling, Chongqing Municipality.
Day 10 - Guilin
Yangtze River Cruise / Wuhan / Guilin.

Day 11 - Guilin
Guilin / Merryland / Guilin.

Today will be an exhilarating day for you. In the morning your private car will take you to Merryland Theme Park (approximately 1.5 hour drive).

Merryland Theme Park has themed entertainment facilities where you can have a day of excitement and be taken to another time, or another world.
Merryland World: Merryland World-Merryland theme park covers 90 hectare. There are five themed sections in the park. Merry Town, the American Wild West, Dream World, Pirate Village, South Pacific, and the Enchanted Forest. In each themed area all of the food, sights, shows, and costumes follow the theme. Merryland Theme Park is fun for children of all ages.

Day 12 - Guilin
Guilin / Yangshuo.
Private Car Service
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to Zhujiang Pier (about 40-minute drive) to start a boat cruise along the famed Li River which is a must see for any traveler to Guilin.
River or Barge Cruise
Li River Cruise: The cruise will take you to Yangshuo County. Along the river, you will be inspired by breathtaking views of Guilin's famous Karst mountain peaks and pinnacles, crystal-clear water and serene pastoral views of rice paddies and water buffaloes cooling themselves in the river. It will feel as though you have stepped into a traditional Chinese painting. A Chinese lunch which is cooked on board will be served.
Bicycling
After checking in to your hotel in Yangshuo, you will explore the spectacular karst countryside along Jima road by your choice of either bicycle or electric car.
Yangshuo County: founded in 590 AD, Yangshuo County has been booming because of tourism. With so many beautifully shaped mountains surrounding this county, it is described as "the world of green lotus and jade bamboo shoots".

Day 13 - Guilin
Yangshuo / Guilin / Final departure.

After this upon arriving in Guilin have a tour of the Elephant Trunk Hill Park.
Elephant Trunk Hill : the symbol of Guilin, which resembles a giant elephant drinking water from the Li River.
Your lunch will be served at a restaurant specializing in local cuisine, or for the more adventurous could sample the spicy food of Sichuan. After lunch you will visit the fabulous Reed Flute Cave.
Sightseeing
Reed Flute Cave: 5 kilometers away from the city center, famed as "A Natural Palace of Art", in which you can see lots of stalactites & stalagmites illuminated by the lights of different colors. You will also learn how they were formed.
After then you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to next destination. International flight arranged by you.
