Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - Cairo

 
Stay at Le Meridien Pyramids hotel.

Arrive Cairo, staff will assist with clearing immigration and customs then transfer you to the Le Meridien Pyramids hotel. Overnight Cairo.
OPTIONAL sound and light show at the pyramids ($30 per person)

Day 2 - Cairo

 
Vist Pyramids at Giza, Sphinx, Egyptian Antiquity Museum and stay at Sonesta Luxor Hotel.

Enjoy an international buffet breakfast and check out before starting the day at the Pyramids at Giza, home of the 7th wonder of the world, the Great Pyramid.

Museums

Visit the inscrutable Sphinx and then a wonderful afternoon to explore the treasures of the Egyptian Antiquity Museum featuring King Tut's treasures.

Commercial Flight

Staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor.

Arriving staff transfers you to the Sonesta Luxor Hotel. Overnight Luxor (B).


Day 3 - Egypt

 
Visit the West Bank's Necropolis of Thebes featuring the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut's Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Also visit Queen of Hansa, Luxor, Karnak Temples and Necropolis of Thebes.
Sightseeing

Buffet breakfast, check out of the hotel, visit the West Bank's Necropolis of Thebes featuring the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut's Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the East Bank to board your 5 star Deluxe Nile cruiser, the Queen of Hansa. Ship features include panoramic opening floor to ceiling windows, large cabins, T.V./video/radio, private baths and individual climate control. Lunch, then visit Luxor and Karnak Temples. Watch the sunset over the Necropolis of Thebes while enjoying dinner.

Day 4 - Egypt

 
Overnight at Edfu.
Sailing

Enjoy breakfast while sailing to Esna. Pass the Esna lock and sail to Edfu. Lunch on board.

Day 5 - Aswan

 
Visit Temple of Horus.
Sailing

Breakfast then visit the Temple of Horus. Enjoy lunch while sailing to Kom Ombo then to Aswan.

Day 6 - Aswan

 
Visit the Temple of Philae.

After breakfast visit the Temple of Philae, the Pharaoh's granite quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk and the High Dam.

National Parks

FREE BONUS: Afternoon visit to the Botanical Gardens traveling by Felucca (native sailboat). These are wind powered only so if there is no wind this will not operate. Dinner and evening entertainment. Overnight Aswan (B,L,D)

Day 7 - Aswan

 
Visit to the Nubian Museum
Relaxation

Disembark the cruise after your buffet breakfast. Staff transfers you to the Movenpick Elephantine Island Resort.

Afternoon visit to the Nubian Museum, a world class presentation of Nubia's culture and history.

Day 8 - Cairo

 
Stay at Cairo Sheraton hotel.
Commercial Flight

After your buffet breakfast staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Cairo, where staff will transfer you to the Cairo Sheraton hotel.

Relaxation

NOTE: An optional excursion to Abu Simbel to visit the famous temples of Ramses can be done before flying to Cairo. $220 a person including transfers, flights, entry fees, private guide, service charges and taxes.

Day 9 - Cairo

 
Visit Sakkarra with it's Stepped Pyramid and Dahshur.

Buffet breakfast then a visit to Memphis, (the ancient capital), Sakkarra with it's Stepped Pyramid and Dahshur, where you will visit the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid (open for entry).

Overnight Cairo (B).


Day 10 - Cairo

 
Visit Old Cairo famous churches and synagogue plus the Citadel of Salah el Din, bane of the crusaders and the Alabaster Mosque.
Sightseeing

After your buffet breakfast enjoy a tour of Old Cairo with it's famous churches and synagogue plus the Citadel of Salah el Din, bane of the crusaders and the Alabaster Mosque.

Day 11 - Cairo

 
Transfer to the airport for flight.

Staff will transfer you to the airport; assist with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure.
