This 13 - day mystery and purity tour of Laos will give you fresh air and a stress-free environment with the beautiful landscape you encounter, yet, you will continue to be amazed by the number of historical artifacts. You will start with Vientiane, the Capital City of Laos where the main business center is and major cultural sites and ancient temples found. Then we go to Xiengkhouang, home of mysterious giant jars. We then pass Bolikhamxay and Thakhek, village of fresh waterfall and protected area. Finally you tour southern of Laos,where the town of 4000 islands and our biggest waterfall is.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Laos
Visit the religious museum of vientiane
Museums
Pick up at Wattay International Airport, transfer to hotel. Afternoon, we take for sight seeing tour to visit religious museum Wat Sisakhet, the oldest temple, its cloister contains more than 8.000 Buddha statues, Hor Prakeo, the former home-temple of the Emerald Buddha statues, but today it contains a collections of Buddha statues, antiques and all artifacts found around Vientiane, we then visit That Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos. Day 2 - On the Bus
Explore the limestone cave and relax with Namsong River side

This morning we will drive to Vangvieng, famed for its intricate network of limestone caves. There will be several stops on the way to see some Buddhas carved out of rocks in the forest, and one of the minority villages. We will spend some time exploring the caves before continuing to our peaceful guesthouse on the outskirts of town, away from the tourist hoards. Day 3 - On the Bus
Enjoy the trip with beautiful landscape

After breakfast, we have a beautiful drive to Xieng Khouang, the site of the PLAIN OF JARS, travelling through the mountains. On the way we stop at Vang Xang, a cluster of 10 high-relief Buddha sculptures on cliffs is thought to date from 16th century and hill tribe villages with beautiful landscape through the mountain. Lunch at local restaurant on the way. Arrive in Phonsavanh, Xiengkhouang before sunset. Overnight at: Chittavanh Hotel. www.ctvhotel.com
Day 4 - On the Bus
To be closer to understanding the civilization that created big stone jars
Group Tour
After breakfast, we drive to discover the plain of Jars, the 2nd and 3rd sites. Lunch in Muong Khun. After lunch we visit Wat Phia Wat Temple, Wat That Fun and some hill tribe villages. Return back to Phonsavan, on the way we stop at the first site of Pain of Jars,
covering an area of around 50 km, with jars of up to 3 metres high, they continue to baffle historians. Recent theory is that they are funeral urns – the larger the jar, the more important the person – but other historical artifacts found in the area have brought the experts no closer to understanding the civilization that created them.
Day 5 - On the Plane
Visit local market before saying goodbye the Plain of Jars

Day 6 - On the Bus
Enjoy short trekking, swimming and landscape
Relaxation
We drive to Ban Na Hin, stop at point view. We have trekking to SANSANAM Waterfall for about 3 hours through National Protected Area in Bolikhamxay province. Possible to swim here. Lunch at local restaurant. Overnight at Local Guesthouse.
Day 7 - On Foot
Enjoy boat travelling and short trekking
Relaxation
After breakfast, we drive to Boat Landing Port and take a traditional boat down stream on Nam Hinboun River, it takes about 2 hours to Ban Na Kok, from here we have a trekking for 15 minutes to Tham Heup Cave, the cave is 800 m long, 8-10 m wide,
and 15-20 m highs. Inside the Cave is dark and there is an interesting waterfall, some part is 70-80 cm deep. It is fresh and clean waterfall, possible to swim at entrance of the cave. After picnic lunch at the excite cave. We continue to explore abandon ruin temple. Then return back by the same way. Drive to visit archaeological sites of Giant Wall. Over night in Thakhek.
Day 8 - On Foot
Enjoy swimming and landscape
Relaxation
We excursion to explore Buddha cave ( Tham Pa Fa ), Tham Phaya which are inside the Caves. Enjoy your swimming and beautiful lime stone, have Lunch here. Return back to Tha Khek.
Day 9 - On the Bus
Heading to southern of Laos, enjouy landscape
Bus
After breakfast, we drive to Khong Island, lunch on the way, arrive Khong Island in the late after noon. Overnight at: Villa Muong Khong Hotel or similar. www.khongislandtravel.com
Day 10 - At Sea
discover the erea of 4000 islands and the bigest waterfall in Southeast Asia
Group Tour
After breakfast, we explore the local villages of Ban Khone , where the old French colonial buildings and its retrace the old colonial past with seeing the first Lao railway with its locomotive. We continue discover the area of 4000 islands by our leisurely boat to visit the beautiful waterfalls Liphi which well known as Samphamith. Return to Ban Nakasang Village and drive to famous waterfalls of Khone Phapeng Waterfall is the largest waterfall in South East Asia. Overnight at: Villa Muong Khong Hotel or similar.
Day 11 - On the Bus
Discover the Hindu sanctuary of Khmer Empire
Group Tour
After break fast, we drive to Champasak and visit the ruins of Wat Phu Temple, which is well known as the most important Hindu sanctuary of the Khmer Empire between 9th –13th centuries. Day 12 - On Foot
Enjoy sightseeing tours and riding local elefphant

Enjoy exploring Pakse Market and town on your own
