Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - Yangon

 
Arrive in Yangon. Explore Yangon surrounding with its impressive colonial buildings. Learn and savor the finer aspects of traditional Myanmar cuisines and cultures.
Sightseeing

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your tour guide and taken to the Governor's Residence in a beautifully decorated colonial coach. After a brief fresh up, we will take you to Monsoon Restaurant to learn and savor the finer aspects of traditional Myanmar cuisines. Revel in the impressive colonial and spiritual heritage in Yangon's city center (Rangoon) before catching the magnificent sunset over the gilded dome of the renowned Shwedagon Pagoda.

Day 2 - Heho

 
Leave Yangon for Inle Lake.

Today you will fly to Heho and enjoy a scenic drive and boat ride to Inle Princess Resort Hotel besides Inle Lake. Spend a tranquil afternoon in Inle Lake, home to the Intha fishermen famed for their unique one legged-rowing styles and the Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery, a simple wooden temple perched by the lake famous for their jumping cats. A scrumptious dinner on the private terrace of the Inle Princess Resort Hotel follows.

Day 3 - Heho

 
Cruise along the Inle Lake to explore small floating villages with the breathtaking view of the lake.

Cruise along a small canal leading to the Paoh village of In Dein. A leisurely walk through the village will bring you to the beautiful Alaung Sitthou with its vegetation-covered stupas that overlooks the breathtaking Inle Lake. Lunch the local way at Intha House that belongs to an Intha descendant in the village of Nampan. Enjoy the afternoon with a relaxing spa treatment and a delightful wine tasting experience in the Inle Princess Resort.

Day 4 - Bagan

 
Fly to Bagan, the mystic land of massive ancient pagodas. Enjoy riding in a horse-led carriage around old Bagan.

In the morning, take the opportunity to witness the production of the typical Burmese cigars by hand in the cheroot factory at Inpawkhone weaving village before flying to Bagan. Savor the delectable traditional snacks at the Burmese Tea Party within the lush compound of Aureum Palace Resort Hotel. Enjoy riding in a horse-led carriage around old Bagan as the setting sun casts golden hues off the ancient relics.

Day 5 - 6 - Bagan

 
Discover the resplendence of Bagan's history with visits to archaeological treasures.

On day 5, start the morning with a visit to the vibrant Nyaung Oo Market. Discover the resplendence of Bagan's history with visits to archaeological treasures such as the Shwezigon Pagoda with its impressive bell-shaped stupa, the Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi cave temple with its exquisite jatakas murals paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple famed for its fined plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations. In the afternoon, observe skilled craftsmen as they demonstrate to you the ancient technique of lacquering. Relax and sip some cocktail as you gently cruise along Irrawaddy River in the evening sun.

On day 6, you will visit Ananda Okkyaung, an architectural masterpiece and one of the few surviving brick monasteries from the early Bagan period. Starting at Ananda, a horse carriage tour among the temples will then bring you to Thatbyinnyu, the highest temple in Bagan and the colossal Dhammayangyi Temple celebrated for its remarkable brickwork and Sulamani. In the afternoon, you will fly back to Yangon followed by a farewell dinner by Exotissimo at Le Planteur Restaurant.

Day 7 - Yangon

 
Depart Yangon.

Rummage for interesting finds in the popular Bogyoke Market (formerly known as Scott Market), which is also famed for its colonial architecture and inner cobblestone streets. Spend the rest of day at your own leisure before transferring to the airport for onwards departure flight.
