Detailed Trip Description
Avoid costly hotels and enjoy a comfortable farm house apartment in the midst of the dramatic Umbrian landscape. Travel for two weeks by rental car, using the apartment as a home base.
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Rome
Arrival
Group is met at Rome airport and transferred to Spoleto by van.
Rental cars are picked up at Spoleto AVIS office. Caravans are organized to lead travelers to farm houses north of Spoleto.
Day 2 - Umbria
Orientation
An orientation is held by our on-site representative. She gives advice on parking, sightseeing, driving, restaurants, special events, cooking classes, etc. She also answers individual questions in this session.
Days 3-13 - Umbria
Independent Travel
Travelers do independent sightseeing by rental car of Umbria. Destinations include Spoleto, Assisi, Deruta, Perugia, Gubbio, and much more.
A group event is offered toward the end of the two week period.
Day 14 - Rome
Departure
Departure from Rome airport
