At the foot of Mt. Kenya, Africa’s second Highest Mountain (5199m), you will cross the equator at Nanyuki town, here, Whirlpool EQUATOR WATER DEMONSTRATION will be conducted by a guide and certificates issued at each member. On different hemispheres, water spins in different directions and later arrive at Sweetwaters in good time and refresh before your afternoon game drive. Sweetwaters Conservancy Park was set up so that CHIMPS could be taught to fend for themselves in an area similar to their natural living conditions. Priority is given to orphaned and abused chimps. Adventure

Check out and descend from the lush highlands to the arid Laikipia Plains and on to the famed Samburu Game Reserve. Samburu lies on the fringe of the hot and sparsely populated northern region of Kenya. In the afternoon, there will be a game drive returning to the lodge as sunsets!

Adventure

Both Morning and afternoon game drives are scheduled for today. Samburu harbors a number of wildlife species rarely found elsewhere. Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing in search of Northern Species of Game not seen south of the Equator, such as Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy, Zebra, Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich. Another creature UNIQUE to these areas is the Long-necked Gerenuk (meaning ‘giraffe neck’), a graceful antelope that stands upright on its hind legs to feed on tall bushes. The Uaso Nyiro River provides bathing pools for hippos, elephants and crocodiles. Keep your eyes open for lion, cheetah, or elusive leopard. There is also a variety of birds like vulturine guinea fowl among others.

After an early breakfast, drive past the northern tip of the Aberdare mountains, then descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. Arrive in time for lunch and short rest. L. Nakuru is a shallow soda lake, renowned for its huge concentration of flamingos. It is also a Rhino sanctuary. The afternoon game drive is included and you will return to your lodge as the sun sets! After breakfast climb the Western Escarpment of the Rift Valley and head towards Masai Mara. With its vast open plains and distinctive flat-topped acacia trees, no visit to Kenya would be complete without a visit here. Enjoying views of picturesque Masai tribesmen herding cattle on the way, you arrive in time for lunch and a well deserved rest! Afternoon game drive includes searching for the Big Five, elephants, Buffalos, lions, Rhinos and leopards, before returning to your lodge as the sun sets!

The early morning calm air of the Masai Mara has made possible the introduction of Hot Air Balloon flights, available as an optional extra, from leading lodges and camps in the reserve. (Please reserve early to avoid disappointment for this adventure!).

Depart after breakfast and journey back to Nairobi for lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, drive on to Amboseli National Park arriving in time for en-route game drive to the lodge in the back drop of majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Check into the lodge as the sun sets!

A game drive through Amboseli takes you across this vast lakebed – often dry, but still very swampy in some areas. Amboseli is best known for its great herds of elephant – you will often find many of them standing knee-deep in the water, spraying themselves to keep cool. But there is a lot of other game here too – cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, many types of gazelle and other plains game- and it is all set against the amazing backdrop of majestic Mount Kilimanjaro showing all its glory. Renown to host the huge concentration of African elephants and other plain games. You will drive through the SHETANI LAVA (aftermath of the formation of Mt. Depart early do en-route game drive out of Tsavo and drive further south and arrive in Mombasa city ( a second largest city in Kenya) for your beach holiday. Rest of the day relax by the beach.

Commercial Flight

Nairobi by am flight. Upon arrival, you are met and embark on a city tour of Nairobi. An afternoon drive takes you through Kenya’s modern, mile high tour of the city including visits to Giraffe Center, where you have a rare opportunity of feeding the gentle Rothschild’s Giraffe and Karen Blixen Museum dedicated to the author of Out of Africa. (Lunch at on arrangement), After city tour, you will proceed on for a farewell dinner at a world renown Carnivore Restaurant (African Barbeque Restaurant), vegetarian menu available. You will then be transferred to airport for you flight back home with ‘a never ending memories’ of a lifetime!
