One week exploring little known areas of Alaska
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Kenai
arrive Anchorage and pick-up rental car. Drive down to Kenai Pennisula and enjoy an afternoon hike out to the Glacier.
Day 2 - Kenai
Take the day long cruise on a small ship and view wonderful Alaskan beauty in landscapes...
Day 3 - Valdez
Drive up the highway and over the road and through the tunnel to Whittier and board the Ferry for a 5 hour ride to Valdez.
Check in too your hotel and tour the local seaport - and small museum.
Day 4 -
Take a day long tour out to see a glacier -and walk through ice caves on a Kayak adventure.
Day 5 -6 -
Drive through beautiful Mountain scenery to McCarthy - at the end of the road. The last five miles at a speed of 30 MPH over a gravel road.
Hike the back country and see scenery that few see in a remote pristine area of Alaska.
Day 7 -
Leave McCarthy and drive back toward Anchorage. Stop along the way and explore Glaciers, Kennicott and other attractions in ANchorage on the 6 hour drive back to the Anchorage airport for your late night flight home.
