Charleston is considered to be one of America's top destinations and this time of year is the perfect time to visit. The historic Mills House is legendary and is located in the center of the historic district making it the perfect place to enjoy the southern charm of this great city and from where you can walk to restaurants, shops, and the Gibbes Museum. This evening enjoy a candlelight tour of Upper Tradd Street homes Located in the area known as the Charlestowne neighborhood, Tradd Street was named after the first child of European descent born in Charleston. This tour affords insight into a collection of houses reflecting the evolution of Charleston architecture from the Federal period to the early 20th century. (7:00 – 10:00 p.m.)

Founded in 1676 by the Drayton family, Magnolia Plantation has survived the centuries and witnessed the history of our nation unfold before it from the American Revolution through the Civil War and beyond. It is the oldest public tourist site in the Lowcountry, and the oldest public gardens in America, opening its doors to visitors in 1870 to view the thousands of beautiful flowers and plants in its famous gardens
Sun/Sept. 27 - Charleston
Choose a cruise to Fort Sumter, where the first shot was fired in the Civil War, or a cruise around Charleston Harbor. Both narrated boat tours offer scenic views of the harbor and ocean, and insight into points of interest, including the new Ravenel Bridge, Fort Sumter, Patriots Point, Waterfront Park and the city’s busy seaport. The boat ride to Fort Sumter includes a stop at Fort Sumter National Monument, where historians provide detailed information about the Fort and its pivotal role in American history. Or, participate in a second home tour. One of the largest streets designed in the Grand Modell of 1680, Meeting Street is named for the White Meeting House of the Independents. Originally named Meeting House Street it was shortened to Meeting Street in 1765. Many of the architecturally significant homes along this street date from the 18th and 19th centuries. This residential section of Meeting Street stretches south from the historic Four Corners of Law to White Point Gardens and the Ashley River. (Home tour from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.)
