This classic trip to Peru allows you to combine a visit to the sacred places like PUNO and MACHU PICHU in one tour. You will be also discovering the inside PERU when you travel from CUZCO to PUNO or vice versa. You will experience the magic energy of MACHU PICHU and SACRED VALLEY, and also admire the old and still preserved traditions carried out by the people in the UROS and TAQUILE islands on LAKE TITICACA. Cuzco was founded as the capital of the INCAS EMPIRE. It is an amazing place to visit and enjoy walking on its narrow streets full of colorful local culture. A short visit to LIMA will also show you the Spanish influence in this area. Trip Itinerary
Day 1-3 - Lima
City tour Lima; enjoy the nightlife and pisco sour
After arrival you will be transported to your hotel. Following day you will tour Lima visiting its highlights. At night, enjoy this cosmopolitan and bustling city. Be sure to try great local cuisine and pisco sour.
Day 3-6 - Cuzco
Visit the ancient capitol of the Incas; enjoy the colonial architecture and Inca ruins; visit Sacred Valley and the Machu Picchu citadel
After you arrive, spend the morning adjusting to altitude. Afternoon stroll this colonial city and visit its many architectural and archeological sites. Next day you will visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas and a colorful market in Pisac. Following day you will visit the legendary Machu Picchu with a guide. Day 6 you will travel to Puno, visiting many other cultural sites on the way.
Day 6-8 - Puno
Picturesque journey from Cuzco to Puno; visit to floating island of Uros and Island of Taquile on Lake Titicaca; visit pre-Inca cultural center of Sillustani
You will spend a couple of nights in this town on the shore of Lake Titicaca. On day 7 you will take a full day excursion by boat to visit the Island of Taquile where you can appreciate the local customs and arts and crafts. Later that day you will visit the famous floating islands of Uros. On the last day in the morning you will visit a pre-Inca cultural/archeological site in Sillustani. Same day you fly back to Lima from Juliaca.
