Day 1-2 - On the Plane
30,000 feet Above the Clouds
Board your flight from the United States to Brisbane, Australia. While you will lose one day when you cross the international dateline, you will gain it back on your return.
After you settle into your seat, relax by choosing from a selection of movies on your personal movie screen or enjoy some fine Australian wine to accompany your dinner.
Day 3 - Brisbane
Touchdown in Brisbane, Queensland - where the weather is beautiful one day and perfect the next.
After arriving at the Brisbane International Airport, stretching your legs and passing through immigration, meet your fair dinkum Aussie driver for the short drive to the wharf. Destination Moreton Island and the Tangalooma Island Resort by high-speed catamaran.
Sample over 30 land-based activities, including beach volleyball, evening presentations, nature walks, tennis, squash, basketball, karaoke and more, available at no additional charge at Tangalooma - or just relax on the beach or by the pool and savor the clean Aussie air.
Your 3-night stay includes a double-occupancy room in the hotel and breakfast each morning.
Day 4 - Brisbane
Wild Dolphins - Up close and personal
Each evening the wild dolphins eagerly swim up to the beach, adjacent to the well-lit jetty at Tangalooma, to have dinner. Your stay at the resort includes a rare opportunity to hand feed the dolphins as the day comes to a close.
Day 5 - Brisbane
Reach 40 kph on a Sand Toboggan
On the optional 4WD tour to the Moreton Island desert, you will be able to try sand tobogganing, one of the popular activities in Queensland. Hold on - you can reach speeds up to 40 kph.
Optional activities at Tangalooma include an ATV Quad bike adventure along the beach and through the bush on Moreton Island.
Day 6 - Port Douglas
Tropical North Queensland
Depart Moreton Island by catamaran, and transfer to the Brisbane Airport for a short flight to Cairns. Meet your driver upon arrival for the scenic ride to Port Douglas.
The Meridien at Port Douglas is an adults only, contemporary boutique resort located a short walk to both Four Mile Beach and Macrossan Street, with many shops and restaurants.
Your stay includes 5-nights accommodation in a standard studio unit.
Day 7 - Port Douglas
Find Paradise on the Great Barrier Reef
Enjoy the luxury and comfort of Wavedancer, a 30 metre sailing catamaran. Let the crew pamper you in the air-conditioned lounge with its fully licensed bar, or soak up the sun and sea air under the sails on the expansive deck during the sail to Low Isles on the Great Barrier Reef.
Low Isles is an idyllic, unspoilt coral island that is a secluded tropical paradise. The wide, sandy beach and clear, calm lagoon waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
Your day aboard Wavedancer includes:
* Morning and afternoon teas on board
* Reef presentation by a marine biologist
* Tropical smorgasbord lunch
* All snorkeling equipment
* Glass bottom boat coral viewing
* Marine Biologist guided beach walk
* Guided snorkeling tour with a Marine Biologist
Lunch is provided.
Day 8 - Port Douglas
Uncover pre-historic sites in the rainforest
Explore the rainforest and amazing landscapes of the Cape Tribulation wilderness area for a day. After leaving your hotel and traveling along the scenic highway, you will reach the Daintree River. On the other side, enjoy morning tea at the Daintree Environmental Centre. An expert guide will take you on the boardwalk whilst explaining some of the fascinating secrets of one of the world's oldest rainforests. After the walk, you can learn more through theatre presentations and the interactive displays, or obtain a closer look at life in the rainforest by ascending the Rainforest Canopy Tower.
Afterwards, the guide will continue onto Cape Tribulation Beach while explaining the rich history of the area. Walk the beach or boardwalk and relax in this tranquil setting.
Your next stop is for lunch in a rainforest setting. Relax and enjoy the delicious food, and maybe a glass of wine. You then return to the Daintree River, with a stop enroute to enjoy the panoramic view from Alexandra Lookout. Re-crossing the river, join a calm water cruise to observe the wildlife that inhabits this environment. Your guide will point out the different types of wildlife and plants that make their home along the river. Keep your eyes peeled for the elusive and fearsome estuarine saltwater crocodile! After the completion of your cruise, board your coach for the return journey to Cairns, stopping at beautiful Mossman Gorge enroute.
Lunch is provided.
Day 9 - Port Douglas
A day for an Aussie "walkabout" exploring Port Douglas.
Explore Port Douglas on your self-designed Aussie Walkabout. Play a game of volleyball with the locals on the beach. Stroll through the shops to find a few souvenirs - or choose an activity nearby.
Day 10 - Port Douglas
Floating on thin air over the Outback
Prepare for an early morning departure from your hotel to transfer to the launch site for your hot air balloom adventure to view the sites over the Atherton Tablelands and Queensland's Outback at Sunrise. Sip champagne and enjoy breakfast after your flight, with a return to your hotel by 10 am.
Breakfast is provided.
Day 11 - Sydney
Return to the Cairns Airport for your flight to Sydney. Upon arrival, meet your driver for a short ride through Sydney to the Grace Hotel. Situated in the heart of Sydney's Central Business District (CBD), the Grace Hotel is housed in the elegantly restored 1930 Neo Gothic Grace Building. Heritage-listed, the iconic exterior is complemented by the charming Art Deco interiors. Fronting three of Sydney's most prominent streets - York, King and Clarence, you will enjoy the hotel's prime location only minutes walk from all the attractions of Darling Harbour, Cockle Bay and King Street Wharf. Also within walking distance are the best CBD shopping districts, with the Queen Victoria Building (QVB), David Jones city stores, Myers at Sydney Central Plaza and Pitt Street Mall at your doorstep. Additionally, The Rocks, Circular Quay, Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House are only a short walk away. Your 3-nights' stay will be in a superior room.
Day 12 - Sydney
Adrenalin high atop the Harbour Bridge
BridgeClimb is the ultimate way to experience Sydney. It's your turn to experience the climb of your life on Sydney's iconic Harbour Bridge for a spectacular panoramic view of the city - and a never to be forgotten sense of accomplishment.
Day 13 - Sydney
A Taste of Australia's Finest

Continuing through historic Wollombi village, you will reach Mt View for a panoramic perspective of the Hunter Valley wine areas. It is only a short distance to the first of the Boutique Wineries to sample a selection of premium Hunter Wines.
