Detailed Trip Description
This trip gives you a chance to visit the most important destinations in Argentina, organized in a traditional tour, but with accommodations in the romantic and exclusive hotels and Bed & Breakfasts. This classic itinerary will lead you on an amazing trip to Buenos Aires, the romantic and melancholic "Paris of South America"; a visit to the spectacular Iguazu Falls; and a chance to explore Mendoza and the surrounding wine country sampling some finest Malbec while staying in a cozy B&B or with an upgrade to the luxurious Wine Lodge. This is a perfect option for a honeymoon trip.
Trip Itinerary
Days 1-4 - Buenos Aires
City tour, dinner and tango show, optional visit to Estancia or Tigre, optional private tango lesson
You will spend the first three days getting to know the city. A city tour is an excellent way to start your trip and get yourself oriented. You will then enjoy an exquisite dinner and tango show in a predetermined venue. The third day you have a choice to explore the city on your own or choose from the following activities: a full day visit to an estancia; trip to Tigre delta; or a private tango lesson. On the fourth day you will leave to Iguassu Falls.
Day 4-6 - Iguazu
Sightseeing at leisure, visit to the Falls Argentine side with optional Adventure Boat trip, optional visit to Brazilian side of the Falls
Upon arrival to Iguazu you have the rest of the day at leisure, relax by the pool or explore the town. The following day you are in for a treat of visiting the spectacular Iguassu Falls with optional boat ride to the falls; next day in the morning optional visit to Brazilian side of the falls ($130 for the visa is required for the US citizens)
Day 6-9 - Mendoza
Full day private wine tour with gourmet lunch and wine tasting included. Local optional activities available: horseback riding, bike tour, hiking, rafting. Optional full day excursion Alta Montana, a bus trip to Chilean border.
Upon arrival to Mendoza you will stay in a cozy B&B and have a plenty of time to relax. The following day you will enjoy a private, guided tour of wineries, wine tastings with a gourmet lunch included. The next day is left free for you to decide either to stay in your B&B and relax and/or explore more wineries, take a bike tour, hike, go rafting or horseback riding. You can also arrange for a full day Alta Montana trip to Chilean border.
Day 9-10 - Buenos Aires
Last two days in Buenos Aires. This is your chance to finish your shopping, hang out in a cafe and have a fabulous steak dinner and reflect on your trip. Day 10 you fly back home from Ezeiza Int'l airport.
