Day-by-day tour of Egypt
Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Cairo
International Flight
JFK to Cairo
Day 2 - Cairo
Adventure
Transfer to Mercure Le Sphinx (4*). Afternoon at leisure. Nile Dinner Cruise. (D)
Day 3 - Cairo
Full day tour of Cairo including the Citadel of Salah Eldin, Soultan Hassan Mosque, Old Cairo, the hanging church, Synagogue, the Coptic Museum, the Egyptian Museum. (B,L)
Day 4 - Giza
Tour of Giza, Sakkara Pyramids. Continue to he Pyramids and the Sphinx. (B,L)
Day 5 - Alexandria
Drive to Alexandria and visit the National Museum, Catacombs, Alexandria library including lunch at San Giovanni. (B,L)
Day 6 - Aswan
Transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Aswan. Board your 5* Nile Cruise Ship Option excursion to Abu Simbel. Afternoon enjoy the felucca on the Nile in Aswan. ( B,D)
Day 7 - Aswan
Visit Philae Temple, the Aswan Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk. Then sail to Kom Ombo to explore the twin temples of Horus, the sun God, and Sobek, the crocodile god. Then reboard the ship to sail to Edfu. (B,L,D)
Day 8 - Aswan
At dockside, board horse-drawn carriages for the short ride through the town of Edfu to the stupendous Temple of Horus, the best preserved temple on the Nile. Set sail for Luxor, crossing the lock at Esna en route. (B,L,D)
Day 9 - Luxor
Visit Thebes' Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Queens, returning to our ship for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit the great temples of Luxor and Karnak. (B,L,D)
Day 10 - Sharm El Sheikh
Fly to Sharm el Sheik. Unpack your luggage in your resort hotel and head for the beach! The crystalline Red Sea waters, busy with brightly colored tropical fish, are yours to enjoy as you like. Go diving in the Ras Muhammed underwater nature reserve, or go for an excursion to the Monastery of St. Catherine, right beside Mount Sinai where Moses received the tablets of the Ten Commandments. Or you can opt for a trek to a desert Bedouin camp. (B,L)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Visit Khan el Khalili Bazaar. (B)
